Hold off on buying anything until there's an official PS3 release and just get the bundle. I'd be really wary of anything third-party for a while yet, and if you have a functional PS2 setup (you should) then just use that in the meantime.

also do this, there really is no point to getting a PS3 dance pad, and plus the game does not look good on your PS3, it shows up in a lower resolution (or at least thats what i have been hearing about, unless they updates the PS3).

I tried SN2 on my PS3, the game looks good, however, the songs are delayed/ offsync and there's no way for me to sync it right. Even in a 300 BPM song or something like that, the notes move in a constant 120 BPM.
They say it holds up, but mine didn't hold up to well, My suggestion is to wait for further releases, for better consoles, or even if they fix the pads up a bit...

you really cant notice until you see comparison screen shots, then you see a difference.
