Just pick any song on the "Beginner" difficulty level that has a rating of one foot. Most of these are extremely easy and suited for beginners.

Start your game and go to "begginners mode". Stay away from anything that says "max" in it or "survivor". Boom, you've got yourself easy songs.

DDR games never have easy songs. Beginner mode is terribly unintuitive. If you have the option write edits or custom songs for In The Groove.

Uh... if anything ITG is less intuitive for beginner players than DDR.

You know... since DDR's Beginner mode uses an onscreen dancer and all...?

Yeah because we all know that people who just start getting into dancing games and are nothing above a 1 footer are going to know how to write edits and upload songs.[/sarcasm]

also look at the BPM, if its over lets go with 200, stay away from it until you start getting used to the game.

also if you have SuperNOVA, just go to easy mode, and stay on beginner for really easy songs to start playing with.

I'd just skip beginner and go directly into Light mode instead.

The on-screen dancer doesn't really tell you how to step properly and the charts don't have any scale of difficulty.

I think ITG's beginner system seems more intuitive. Instead of having an on-screen dancer the level gives timing prompts.

Stay on Light/Basic charts and don't do anything over 4-footers.

Don't stay in the center when not stepping like the beginner dancer does. After you step, leave your foot on the arrow until you have to step again. This single tip will help you the most.

I love seeing bare footed players who play beginner while standing in the middle, doing a bunny hop on jumps two beats after it came up on the screen.

Oh, and playing Speed Over Beethoven...

As long as you do NONE of that stuff, you won't have a problem.

I don't see what the big deal is with beginner mode, I've seen people progress from it and "KEEP FOOT ON ARROW OMG" is something you automatically grow out of quickly I'd think

Do some SuperNOVA begginers , they'll have freeze arrows in them.
