well let's see depending where I go it's usually .50 to a buck. Best deal I've ever seen was at the West Covina mall where they had a crappy DDR Megamix machine with .50 for 5 songs Joint Premium. The pads were functional...for a while anyway, nowadays you have to stomp the crap out of the pads to get it to register.

The most common setup I see is the 3 for .75, but I still favor another place that has decent pads and 5 songs for .50

The most screwed up setup I saw was at Universal Studios Hollywood several years back. I think it was a DDR USA mix machine but they charging $1.50 for a two song round. Sad thing is though...people were still lining up to dump their quarters in it.

In some places it's three songs for 75 cents. At a song a quarter, that's good...

But that's too bad. Gotta get $1.50 just to play a full round.
on the bright side, even if an ITG2 machine is set to 1 song, you can still play Marathon/Survival courses instead.

Logical idea, but most likely we'd get kicked out of the arcade and then would have to go to a different place, which has mucho mucho malo reputation.

I pay £1 for both the Euromix and Euromix 2 machines near me. £2 if two of us want to play together.

Seeing as £1 equals whatever the current £ to $ conversion is which is about 1.7 at the moment, I'm paying the equivalent of about $1.70 per go.
And remember thats for 4+ year old machines.

One good thing is that the Euromix machine has this weird setting where if you put in £2 you get an extra credit for free for some reason. Still a rip off though.

Next time I go I'm definatly pointing out to them that Dancing Stage SuperNOVA is out and they should either upgrade or lower their current price. Not that they would listen though.

EDIT: Could someone maybe fix the title of the thread? Wouldn't How much do you pay to play on your DDR/DS machines? suit better?

The only machine here costs 50 cents per play... I don't bother though because I never liked Extreme much. Maybe I'll play when Supernova is here... maybe...

4 tokens = 1 darrar

I pay 4 tokens. Machine is in bad shape and is never cleaned so i'd much rather go play Tekken or CvS2. Maybe when Supernova comes out.

My local arcade used to be fair when it had $.50 for 3 songs.

How it pulls the bitch move and sets $.50 for 1 song. I never complained because its their way of pricing games and I know I'm not going to change it by asking for a price lower.

The next arcade over has $.75 for 4 songs in DDR Extreme and $.75 for 3 songs in In The Groove 2. Its a great price for all because Joint Premium is also on.

Most of my arcades have resonable priceing near me so I don't complain.

Why the 12 foot tall monster with no hands had a fire ring that fits everyone from you to your grandma will still be mystery to man.

I hate places that rip you off with tokens. Somewhere kinda near me its 2bucks =6 tokens, and 4 tokens for a game of 3 songs.

On the other hand, there is a place where you get credits. 20 bucks=60 credits, 3 credits for 4 songs. Woot.

I used to pay about $10 a week overall to play DDR. Then we lost our arcade so now I've just been playing at home.
