How do you keep yourself in the middle of the pad, cause with mine at home (no metal bar) i always miss the bottom arrow and it screws me up. Am i just challenged or am i doing something wrong

hMm.....a good starter would be to not always be in the middle of the pad. IT WILL screw you over on the long run when playing standard, heavy or oni. Try practicing not to go to the middle every time there is no arrows going up, it'll break your bad habit.

If you have a soft pad, maybe your not missing it, maybe the pad is sliding, this happens alot, it depends on the pad and the floor

If you have a metal pad, then it might just be that your not that used to the feel of the arrows, if there not arcade measurments then that might be a factor or you just might need a little more time to get used to it

I tried a few of your guys suggestions and i did way better yesterday. I put some stuff underneath of the pad so it would stop sliding and i also tried not always going to the middle and it's working great, thanks

Foam-inserts and soft pads benefit greatly from velcro strips.

Exactly. The velcro that must be placed on the underside is that hard-like "loop" side of the velcro, not the "soft" curly one. The carpet will take the place of the latter. You can now take on ANYTHING.

Reenee, how well does that mod work where you secure the soft pad to a piece of wood or some thing hard? Does it really feel like a metal pad and does is ruin the origional soft pad?

I unfortunately do not know the effects.

I have only tried it with my Ignition 2.0 and it works just fine.

I remember using ducttape on an old softpad on my carpet instead of velcro (I ducttaped the edges on the pad to be flush with the capret, all the way around) and it didnt budge at all, even trying to move it.

Well, that'd work too of course but I'd rather use duct tape if it's going to be in a dedicated area, not getting it in place each session.

Your left foot will be hitting the Down and Up arrows while your right foot will be stepping the Left and Right notes.

This is great crossover practice (albeit pretty fast). Also attempt the song with the Mirror modifier enabled.
