I gave it a thought, but I don't think so. If you download the MP3 from the Media Shop and listen to HDV at about 1:28, the part of the video where the steps go crazy, the steps are actually going to the wild background of the music. They're not crazy for a reason. It IS going to the music.

Now, if they didn't put this in DDR, we would have to hear about how Konami is not making use of it's Challenge difficulty and not making DDR hard enough.

By the way, I just noticed: Why are all the videos for Chaos, Faxx, and HDV Oni from an Oni course? You can access these steps when you play the song for your (One More) Extra Stage, in addition to the heavy steps. Why are people tiring themselves out with the songs before instead of taking a fresh go at the Challenge steps?

People want hard but not WTF? hard like Vertex^2. This song falls under the WTF? hard category.
Although I gotta admit...It does look kinda fun.

I don't think so. When I was watching someone play SN, when they got (One More) Extra Stage, all the difficulties were grayed out except for Heavy and Challenge on HDV, Faxx, and Chaos. So I think it IS selectable at this time.

...I thought you can't change difficulties when you get ES and OMES. Isn't there a patch that's gonna be released this month? Maybe aside from re-syncing some songs, it'll let you choose the Challenge steps for Chaos, Healing -D- Vision, and Fascination MaxX.

You CAN'T! Which is why the "play it as (OM)ES!" suggestion is either misguided (for benefit of the doubt) or retarded.

Actually, HDV shows all difficulties, and I would presume FaxX does as well, but CHAOS simply does not have Beginner, basic or difficult steps, for obvious reasons. And no, you can't change the difficulty. I tried every time yesterday on both HDV and CHAOS. I didn't bother with FaxX.

HDV is the only song that displays steps for all difficulties. FAXX and Chaos both only have heavy and oni. Only heavy is selectable on all three songs (believe me, I've tried to do it on all three).

Really? I remember on the ASI ideos, Beginner was a 3, and Basic and Standard were 9s, but there was no Challenge at that time.

All I have to say to that would be: lol hidden beg/lgt/std charts.

Quite the mirror opposite of what people've been wanting. (hidden oni charts)

This is probably the first time a DDR game will garner a prominent Edit Data group that's actually NEEDED.
I find it kind of funny that you said that Vertex^2 was a work of masterpiece when you posted the original nightmare video about it.

now that looks like fun. Jboy is ridiculous.

and i have to agree with Original Z on this one. This stepchart doesn't hold a candle to half of the stupid stuff in the ITG games. I'm guessing that the end is just a bunch of fast crossovers and jumps.
