If you download the MP3 from the Media Shop and listen to HDV at about 1:28, the part of the video where the steps go crazy, the steps are actually going to the wild background of the music. They're not crazy for a reason. It IS going to the music.
Now, if they didn't put this in DDR, we would have to hear about how Konami is not making use of it's Challenge difficulty and not making DDR hard enough.
By the way, I just noticed: Why are all the videos for Chaos, Faxx, and HDV Oni from an Oni course? You can access these steps when you play the song for your (One More) Extra Stage, in addition to the heavy steps. Why are people tiring themselves out with the songs before instead of taking a fresh go at the Challenge steps?

And no, you can't change the difficulty. I tried every time yesterday on both HDV and CHAOS. I didn't bother with FaxX.

FAXX and Chaos both only have heavy and oni. Only heavy is selectable on all three songs (believe me, I've tried to do it on all three).

This is probably the first time a DDR game will garner a prominent Edit Data group that's actually NEEDED. | I find it kind of funny that you said that Vertex^2 was a work of masterpiece when you posted the original nightmare video about it.

and i have to agree with Original Z on this one. This stepchart doesn't hold a candle to half of the stupid stuff in the ITG games. I'm guessing that the end is just a bunch of fast crossovers and jumps.
