GOOD DDR METAL PAD SUGGESTIONS ?

well i have a kop but i really dont like it so i decided to buy a metal ddr pad any1 have suggestions ? i was looking at the INTEC G5252 ARCADE DANCE PLATFORM will do the job or is it to cheap ? i play hardcore lol so the kop allways moves around and isnt as comfy as the arcade lol thx

If you want something truly close to the arcade, look into the BlueShark at MyMyBox. There's been plenty of threads like this, and there's a thread about the BlueShark as well a few pages back if you'd liketo read it

I agree, I've been hearing (and seeing) really great things about the BlueShark pad; I have a friend who has one tooz.

Blueshark or Cobal Flux. If you feel like being cheap, then don't buy a pad at all.. because you will waste your money by buying a "decent" metal pad and then it craps out on you like a month later.

I have had a metal dance pad for almost 3 years now, and mine still work fine, except for one... I broke that one when I was trying to mod it.

Yea, as Victamone said, brand? Seriously, if that's not a CF, what the hell. Even my RO barely made it through a year and then it just quit.

I got an older MyMyBox pad (SOLOMODE 2200) and it worked up until 2 months ago when it finally crapped out for good.

Now my dad and I have ripped it down to the base and we are re-constructing it to be more arcade-like, with the works (arcade sensors, lights, thicker panels, sturdier bar (with cushion too), etc.)

Lesson learned: Be careful when buying name brand metal pads, especially buying ones with foil-contact sensors to save money. If push comes to shove though, modding them and/or completely re-modelling them will work too.

Also, that Intec pad is complete shit, trust me. I went through two, they both cracked very quickly and started mis-firing shortly after.

CF is the best. I've had it for a year, and the only thing I've had to do to it was clean it every few months.

It's worth the money.

I heard the tx2000 was pretty good. it has teh bar n stuff, idk how durable the arrows are though. i have the tx1k, i wish i got the 2k...

Either the Cobalt Flux or the Red Octane Afterburner have worked pretty well for me. I've heard that the Blue Shark pads are very good as well.

I SUGGEST PRACTICING MORE
IN A CLOSET

Arcade Pads > CobaltFlux > RedOctane
Dunno about Blue. They're to scale though, I believe.

CF is a really good pad, but i warn you now that if you play on that son of a bitch without the arcade upgrade, when you go hit that arcade ddr machine you will cut your feet off.

blueshark is the best i have heard so, if price is not a problem then GET IT!!! I would but i am poor as heck! lol.
