HEEEELP! I NEED ADVICE WITH MY MODDED FLIPTOP PS2

So my mom buys me both 5th MIX and 3rd MIX for Christmas from ebay.

But I'm using th Magic3 swap disks, and aparently you CANNOT PLAY PS ONE GAMES ON A MODDED PS2 EVEN WITH MAGIC3 DISKS.

I totally didn't know that. My games havn't arrived yet, and I'm praying that the rumors I've heard are wrong and you can indeed play ps one games on a modded ps2 with the Magic3 disks.

If they don't work, WHAT DO YOU ALL SUGGEST I DO!!??

please give me some suggestions (I'm totally freaking out right now)

Are you using the DVD-ROM driver, or the CD-ROM driver?

Sorry, the rumors are correct. You can't play PSX games on a PS2 with Swap Magic.

There are alternatives, however. Search around on Google for Breaker Pro (an adapter that lets you play PSX games). If you don't want to shell out money, install the memory card exploit (search on Google) along with Simple Media System. What this program will do is, when exited, return you to the PS2 BIOS without opening the tray, allowing you to swap out the PS2 "key disc" (the disc used to trigger the exploit) with the PSX game. This may only work on version 9 PS2s, though.

It might just be best to buy Breaker Pro or to look for a modded PS1 on eBay.

I heard something about a gameshark lite or gameshark 2 or something being able to run them... ddrfreaks how to run imports thread mentioned it, you may want to try that? I am just going by what I have heard though...

Why wouldn't it be able to play 5th? Its a CD format game right?

So Breaker Pro should be able to play it- am I wrong?

I think you can hotswap PSX games.
When booting up a normal PSX game, I think you switch the discs at the SCEA screen.
