Marketplace Rating: 2 | Hey DDR forum, tell me about the MyMyBox BlueShark GXG If I see even one "LOL BUY A CF U NUB" post in this thread I will climb into my router, crawl through the veins of the internet, jump out of your monitor and fuck your eye sockets, so please refrain from doing so. Thanks!
I spotted an ad for this thing right here at some point over the last couple days (I think it was here, but I'm not gonna hammer F5 to see if the banner shows up at the top) and I was sort of wondering whether it was a piece of shit or not. I did a Google for reviews and found a DDRF thread talking about it, saying that it seemed pretty decent except for some control box problems in some batches--excusable, since it comes with a six month warranty. It uses the same sensors as arcade stages and appears to be relatively solidly built.
I dislike the Flux for several reasons, and although the Afterburner isn't as bad as everyone says it is it just doesn't feel quite right. Does anyone know if the GXG a good controller for the money?

Looks alright to me. | |

Now thats out of the way, I was wondering that exact same question, a little while ago. I saw the ad on the site etc... I already own an afterburner thats pretty beat up, and was looking to replace it. I've heard the other mymybox pads have been peices of shit, yet this looks a lot nicer.
Take a look at the picture on the bottom, it looks like the metal is tarnished or something. http://www.mymybox.com/ddrmbsgxg365.html
Thats the one I was considering, built in bar is always good, and its 3 inches thick. Any one own one of these?

I've got a paycheck coming this week, I may swing by and try to grab one (my current pads are dead.) If it sucks, you'll all be the first to hear the bitching!

I haven't heard anything from them in a bit, and suddenly these guys pop up... it makes me wonder.

for about 5 years now, and they have still lasted me to this day. One control box was buggy, and I ended up buying a whole new 3rd one so I have additional parts as well.
I put a solid wooden frame around mine (only problem was they had no support on those, just small cushions, but the blueshark seems sturdy enough for me.
I play in socks, so if you're looking for shoe play, I guess they'd be ok as well. MyMyBox hasn't has the greatest customer support, but they have actually had a decent site and a forum in the past two years so they're a lot better than when I had first bought them (which was support = nothing).
I've never seen why CFs have been *omg so popular* except they're like ipods with the expensive price so they must be good you know. >.<

If I can spend a similar amount of money and get something arcade-esque that would be pretty rocking. Quote: |

Well 5 plus years is longer than my afterburner has held up. Maybe I'll try the cheap ddr one.

Anyway, here is the pics he took of the Blueshark and Nexan. http://s115.photobucket.com/albums/n285/vesperka/
I ordered one, so I'll let you know how they are and stuff.
