I was goin crazy at the arcades, doing 10 footers and such, and when I came home to my fluffy plastic pad... it definately was NOT the same.
Therefore, I am looking for suggestions for Metal Pads. I have quite a few threads on here that discuss this topic, but they do not fulfill all my questions
The two primary pads I see everyone talking about are the Cobalt Flux and the Blue Shark; I really want to get a metal pad, but it NEEDS to have the bar! Use it all the time or not, its nice to have it "Just in case."
Would anyone please tell me about these two brands (Cobalt Flux and the Blue Shark) and perhaps a bit about other brands too please?
I was checking out the iON, specifically the "pro" model, and it looks SEXY. ----> (In Stock Now!) Dance Dance Revolution limited edition iON PRO Arcade Metal dance pad for PS / PS2 - XBOX & PC with handle bar
So, any help would be very much appreciated!!!

You won't find any pad with a real decent bar, even the Blue Shark's wobbles. You can always build your own frame for another mat, but as it stands the CF and BS are the only durable mats out there. For arcade feel, the Blue Shark is the closest. It uses arcade sensors and is very thick. The arrows are recessed. The CF has to have a modkit to make it feel like the arcade, and even with the modkit it's not the same.
Like you said, there are threads out there that discuss them. I'd rather not post what I've already posted 5+ times again. Getting a metal home pad. Best Arcade Pad? Metal pads? Is it time for a metal home pad?
The first two links should tell you anything you would need to know.

Once I started ITG, within a month or less, it crapped out on me. Then a few weeks after resoldering it was shot again. The sensors were also very small. I wouldn't suggest anything from ddrgame.com. If you take apart the mat, you will see some very cheap shit. A flimsy base, cheap ass loose wood blocks that barely hold the screws in place, and the arrows were actually BROKEN to make them fit into the mat. Not cut smoothly, but actually jaggedly broken off on the edges to make it fit. The cheapest piece of crap I've ever dealt with.

I did, I bought one, and I had a shipping problem, but they sorted it out very well.
I've been playing on it for about 2 months now, and it works perfectly. The only concern is that the barfeels unstable. It isn't really, because it can handle me holding it while playing Max 300 SMMM, but it doesn't feel as solid as the arcade bars.
But I still like it, and IMO it looks better than a colbat flux.

So, by seeing what many people are saying, Cobalt Flux and Blue Shark is the way to go, and never buy crap from Dance dance revolution games and Dance dance revolution pads, DDRgame.com is your # 1 source. (Emphasis on "crap" lol)
Sooooo, out of CF and BS which would you guys suggest?
And Sn3s, you said the bar on the BS is unstable.. hmm can it be adjusted to be a bit tighter? =D I understand that I dont really need the bar while playing the 8's and 9's (I'm a beginner =D) But, the fact that I'm dropping a load of cash onto a pad makes me require the optional pad, which I will definately be using later on! =P

But yeah, the BS pad isn't as unstable as I made it sound. It's just when I hold it, it leans back a bit. Not enough to annoy you, but you can tell it's less stable than the arcade ones. And yeah, you can tighten it with the wrench they give you, but that'll last for about a day before it starts leaning again
