How does one utilize note charts?

I have a serious question. What are the general uses of a note charts in ddr (as

well as Beatmania), and how do I correlate the use of them to my overall playing

of these games. Just curious as to how these things should be used; because I

was thinking about using them. Peace Out

Note charts are best used for note memorization and studying patterns you aren't familiar with.

I don't think there is much beyond knowing what's there. It helped me be able to predict what steps/notes come next on harder songs, it can help with memorization.

Not really a lot more it can do other than that, I don't think.

Once you get serious, you can use them to plan out "freestyling" moves...kinda a misnomer at that
