Oh no! Better not play any of the PS1 games now, since DDR games that don't go 60 FPS clearly aren't worth playing according to you. (Hottest Party was ugly even with its having a good frame rate.)

Because gameplay beats out graphics. That's like hating on Super Mario 64 for running 30 FPS because Galaxy runs at 60.
The Ultramix games had effort put into them unlike Hottest Party, which had no Edit mode, no training mode, no online gameplay, no original party modes, no doubles charts, no videos, and even lacked the type 1/2 arrow colors that even the PS1 DDR games had. And the charts..

in general i agree that gameplay is more important than graphics, but by that i mean as long as the graphics are acceptable (read: not anything like the menu from beatmania US) then i will stop caring about it and look at the gameplay

given the hardware of the xbox there is no reason it shouldn't run at a decent framerate at all.

i do agree that the add-ons we are used to with CS ddrs that were all missing from HP were fairly annoying but (and this seems to be a place we'll disagree quite a bit) they were GOOD, FUN CHARTS. while i didn't like trying to FC super samurai on 1x on a gamecube controller, it was still a decent chart. even the horrible songs had charts that were playable. most of the xbox exclusives that never crossed over into anything else have been awful and look like entries to a stepfile competition from 2001-2003 when people didn't really know how to write good files

IMO I lnever liked my Ultramix 1 and 4 and Universe 1 and 2 because I can never play them on a metal or even foam pad. I'm too lazy to make a converter or buy one.
