DDR Solo 4th? Or DDR Kor 1st?

I can get either AC machine for the same price, (2500). But which should I get, normally I'd go for the Solo because it's more recent, and have never played Solo. But I happen to know where to get a Boxor for $1000 also...

Can BMS help me decide?

EDIT::: Oh yeah, I am also a cheap highschool student working minimum wage.

i'd go with the 1st. buying an upgrade kit to extreme is pretty inexpensive, even with the switch from analog to digital IO

go with the first Korean. You could get a 3rd party upgrade (as in its not a official KONAMI upgrade) for really cheap.

i didn't read your first post all the way through:

there is some kind of problem with installing ITG on a korean cabinet (not sure exactly what the problem is but it says something about it in the manual)

Well, I've made up my mind! I'm going with the Kor. 1st. for 2.5k. Then I'm throwing in a PC running Ubuntu+Stepmania.

Yep, that's the best choice. You could have done that with the solo, but Single, Versus, and Double is better than Single and Solo.

Yep, the whole project should cost me about $3.3k That's an entire summers pay... :P (Go lifeguarding!) But I'm working at the arcade now, so I should be able to get the machine earlier. Then get bored of the ten songs in a day. Then not touch it again untill I get the PC for it! LOL. I have it all planned out.
