I NEED ADVICE (metal pad vs. phone)

Ok its almost final report card time. Im an middle school student in Maryland and my parents told me if i broke a 3.0 for final quarter i can get a new phone (chocolate^_^). But i really want a metal DDR pad cause the one that came with DDR supernova blows

Anyway I can convince my parents to get me the pad but i want the phone too. I NEED ADVICE!!! (or opinions)

OK, I am a Jr. high student in Maryland and as you know its almost the summer which means final report cards. My parents said if i make honer roll (3.0 average or higher)
I could get a new phone (chocolate ^_^). Anyway I want the phone but i dont want to go the summer without DDR in my house (I live kinda far from malls and konami pads stink) so i want a metal pad too but i can only choose one.

I WANT BOTH BUT ONLY ONE I CAN GET! PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!

if u really need a phone, or you dont have one already, get the chocolatey goodness
if you are like me and cannot stand a solid week without DDR without going into withdrawl, get the metal pad. Thats what I did; saved my moneys for both myself though. very rewarding

Why not get a cheaper phone? Assuming you don't have one already. You can get a really basic pre-pay cell phone for like $10.

Either way, I say go for the pad.

yes it sucks, but you won't be missing ddr in the summer.

Your only in middle school man you really don't need a phone till later. Not to mention that when you get a phone at that age you can go a little overhaul on minutes and/or text messages. Id say get the pad or something that you will use. I have a cobalt flux and it is very nice except that I really don't use it anymore, it's all dusty and retarded sitting in the garage all alone. O and if you decide and get the phone, my brother got the chocolate and it sucked, get a razor or something like it. I can't help thinking that some of the advice you are getting is biased. I mean, you are only asking on a DDR forum...but thats ok. At least you won't be hated upon for playing it.
In any case, if you get the phone, sweet as it may be(pun intended), your parents will probably want to keep tabs on you whenever you go out. I really don't think you want that.
In short, get the pad!
