For an actual pad I'd reccomend a TX series, they seem to do well in that price range. Haven't checked a Nexen in person, but I've heard they're alright as well.

I bought an afterburner just for the fact of "I want it to connect to my PC".. and it was horrible. It would disconnect itself(the usb would stop detecting it for some odd reason?) and when i sent it back they just sent me a new control box.. with the same problem. Just get a cobalt.

I think you have to contact them to get a USB control box, and then you need some drivers which have been conviniently put on the forum.

I've had mine for about a year and a half (meaning it's been through countless hours of EXTREME 2, In The Groove, STR!KE, and SuperNOVA) and it's still going strong. The actual arrows (not sensors) aren't too durable and have a few cracks in them, which hurts the aesthetic appeal of the dance pad, but other than that it works just as fine as when I purchased it (very well).
I hear MyMyBox Blue Sharks are great... Anyone know about them?

Why won't you get those cheap, plastic ones? They're extremely affordable, quite durable, and is simple to use. Although it may slip out of place. Unless you can afford a metal pad. Inspeaking of which, to help you out a bit, you might want to check out the old Red Octane or Cobalt pads.
