Default Ignition 3 sucks?

does it? cause i just read a thread with a few people saying it does. why does it suck? i mean i play it and its ok sure it moves around a bit but i got carpet. i went to AX this year and saw it for like 60 bucks and really where i live theres the crappiest of pads...so i thought might as well since i really want a pad to avoid having to pay 1 buck at my arcade to practice.

But after reading some peoples posts im thnking omfg...dude did i just waste 60 bucks on a shitty pad? i could have sworn redoctane was like best pad makers

I won a new Ignition 3.0 at a tourney, and it lasted about 3 plays before the up arrow stopped registering. After fiddling with it a while, I got it to working condition, but it failed shortly after again. I wasn't impressed myself.

it's made in china. what did you expect? =) yes, i'm chinese.

the manufacturer (Topway) probably used cheap foam for the buttons that compresses/rips too easily. someone swapped that foam with some from a konami pad and it works flawlessly.

Was the original Ignition 2.0 US made? I was wondering why this was lasting longer than my last Ignition 3.0.

No. The Ignition 1.0, sadly, was the best.

Ignition pads are great, but they don't last long.

Redoctane isn't very good at all. But I did hear that 2.0s were better than 3.0s.
I almost got an Afterburner, so glad I didn't.

60 bucks isn't very much. Prices reflect on the pad.

Then again, my Madcatz foam pad is still in next-to-prefect condition, despite the down arrow ripped but still functioning well, and it was the same price. Well, it was 60 Canadian which is I dunno how much American.

I got a BNS-DX and it works great(actually I prefer it over a cobalt oddly enough) but its the same as an Ignition but half the price.

So do you people who prefer $50 foam pads to CFs have something against playing in shoes or do you just say that because you don't actually own a CF?

dude why does it seem like your getting aggresive. man i buy foam pads cause there is literally no space to hold a non-compactable metal pad. and besides that freaking 200 bucks for a pad parents will never swing for that
