Default iON dance pads , hit or miss

I was thinking about getting a metal dance pad and I came across this Dance Dance Revolution iON metal dance pad for PS/ PS2 - Xbox - PC.

I know cobalt fluxes and bluesharks are the way to go , but after hearing some horror stories about them ( especially about hearing people wait a month or so for it)I really don't want to deal with that.

So would you guys recommend this pad for everyday DDR play? ( I'm not a stomper and I can do most 9's and some 10's )

Hell no. I had something resembling that. Avoid.

Is the best thing to do is buy 1 Blueshark with a bar from MyMyBox? I'm thinking of doing that but sometimes I can be a stomper...not much but sometimes...

for quality, you are going to just have to go with the blue hark, or cobalt. Thats just how it is, the nicer the pad, the longer the wait.

The panels are thicker than arcade panels. Just so you know.

I can't tell where I am stepping on most of the time with this pad and we bought it in school. That's a problem here.

Hmm 260 bucks for THAT pad........ not worth it dude. You can get a metal pad with similar quality for maybe half that price. Take it from experience, if you go to YouTube, youll notice alot of players using metal pads that we "avoid" yet they do exceptionally well. Heres an example: YouTube - Max 300 ~Super Max Me Mix~ Attempt

Here's a dude with the pad that you mentioned: YouTube - DDRConquistador's Channel

You mentioned that you play mostly 9's and 10's, well unless you play like 11's and 12's everyday on it, you should be fine with one of these cheap metal pads. If they break, you can always mod them.
