Default Lag Estimate

Can someone give me what it is probably a good value to put lag on for an High-Def TV using the PS2?

At the very least, is it high or low and positive or negative.

you're going to have to go through trial and error with this one each TV and soundsystem setup lags differently

Urp. Well, does positive lag make notes hit the timing window earlier or later?

you mean in the settings on the game itself? it actually offsets the sync of the arrows with the music. + makes the arrows early and - makes the arrows late. they will still match up with the receptors correctly.

you will probably be late on timing, as in you hit the note, but the it count as a miss/almost/good AFTER the hit area (its confusing I know, just try to bear with me). you will just need to slide the timing scale around to find the exact timing area. You may also be early as well, however this is very unlikely.

personally, I found that I had to stop using HD altogether, because with HD, the timing was synced perfectly with the sound, but the arrows scrolled late on the screen (since the problem was my tv and not the console). If i were to adjust the timing to be later, then I might get it so the video was synced perfectly, but I'd be late if I timed my steps by ear with the beat of the song.

unfortunately, the only games that support changing the video sync without also changing the audio sync are supernova 2 jp, supernova 2 us, and maybe supernova 1 jp (i think that's what the second timing option is for >_>)

that would be a problem. Thats why my HD does not work, which makes my copies of Universe useless.
