Default Lag in SN CS and SN2 CS in the PS3

When I tried playing SuperNOVA and SuperNOVA 2 in my PS3, it lags, despite me running it on an SD TV.

Is there a way to fix the lag? I tried fixing the timing; it wouldn't work.

I'm curious, which PS3 do you have?

PlayStation.com

Here is says mostly that the 60GB has no problems, but the 80 has lots.

That's just backwards compatibility issues with the 80GB PS3. You'll just have to get a PS2, or somehow find a 60GB, which you'll have a slim to none chance of finding. Hey, Sony said they had to axe backward compatibility or keep it at $600 bucks. Personally I would go for the latter...

Has IIDX been tested on the 60GB?

If it works I might just get one.

THERE we go.

Will a future firmware update be able to fix it, or there are no hopes at all?

Hopefully there will be.

Sony's being pretty good about updating BC games, so yeah.

Heh, I have a 60gb ps3 in the front room, and a ps2 in my room, but I never even though about trying out Sn1/Sn2 US in there. I'll probably try it out soon though, see if theres any lag. Do the ps2 adapters work with the pads?

I guess not. We'll have to wait for a pad with a PS button. (which will most probably come with a PS3 DDR game)

What version is your PS3? (US version, PAL version, Jap version or Asian version?)

I think he made it clear it was a U.S. one since he tried playing U.S. DDR games on the system. You can not play other region PS2 games on the PS3, that region free only works with blu-ray.

Are there no adapters that can work with the dance pads? I have an 80 GB PS3 (no PS2), but I recently got SuperNOVA 1 & 2 as gifts... it's driving me nuts being unable to play them. Then reading this post, they'd lag as well... oi...
