There are 10 official in-game PARANOiAs, 5 MAXes, 2 Fascinations, and 2 Plutos. (Yes, I don't think that Fascination MaxX is a MAX, because while it may contain the word "MaxX", it really has as much to do with the rhythm of MAX as Maximizer. All the original MAX songs have a certain style and even melody; Fascination MaxX doesn't follow that at all, and since there's a Fascination remix and not a FaxX remix in-game, I'm inclined to believe that Fascination is its own thing.) My point is that there are more PARANOiAs than MAXes, your post doesn't make sense.

I know that MaxXs don't count in Max. (Unless you were proofing me that..)

So I'm not familiar with a lot of PARANOiAs, so excuse me for making my post wrong. *edits*

MAXX UNLIMITED is a MAX 300 remix, whereas Fascination MaxX is an original song. Moreover, if MAXX UNLIMITED is not a MAX, then Super-Max-Me Mix is not a MAX, since it's a MAXX UNLIMITED remix, despite the name.

PARANOiA and Max are both worthy of carrying on. But Trip Machine should step it's game up. It used to be up there with PARANOiA in first mix (even to the point of being the last stage song IIRC).

But yeah, PARANOiA for complexity and possible upcoming 15+ charts and MAX for difficulty and possible upcoming Boss charts.

To the one who said "Trip Machine Phoenix instead of Climax", I guess I kinda prefer speed over complexity. On TMP they had to make the steps harder (with lesser sense, like sardines) to make it ES worthy.

For Pluto, they shouldn't have named it Pluto if it holds potential as a new boss song. I don't like the thought of 'a boss song which is/was a part of a collection of songs which are not boss songs.' but yeah, it holds potential.

For Pluto the first, I haven't tested out the steps for real (just by simulating a dance pad), but it cheated (in a way) on it's speed, because it took advantage of DDR HP (JP) by doubling the original bpm (pluto is i think, 220 bpm).

For the maxes, fascination maxx really isn't related to the other maxes. It's even credited by its bpm (a trademark of the paranoia series) instead of a symbol. and the fact that 2mb remixed it adding to the controversy (2mb [so far] doesn't remix a particular song twice). I'm even willing to overlook a (unproven) rumor that Sota created faxx instead of naoki.

fixed! 2MB never remix a particular song twice. he will only make one remix on a particular song.

Between MAX and PARANOiA, my vote goes to PARANOiA because it's consistently inspired more great remixes--official and unofficial--than MAX. However, I think that it needs to lose its "boss song" pretension and get itself a back-to-basics remix since, as rantalus pointed out a few pages ago, PARANOiA has just gone far out.

That said, the MAX series ought to continue as well. Best-case scenario would be an actual non-CS remix of MAX 300 as the next installment.

However, going beyond these two, I'd personally like to see Seduction get some more remix treatment.

With enough exposure, Seduction could make a good minor boss song, much like Unreal which took most players by surprise.

For me, PARANOiA should carry because it is the first one who brought up the boss musics of every DDR series. Thanks to PARANOiA for having the Hades, Respect, Rebirth, Survivor, Survivor MAX and other remixes of it. But my ultimate choice is MAX series. Why? 'Coz this is the start of a something challenging music and at the same time the steps that made the players harder to complete when DDRMAX was released... I really like to AAA MAX 300 HEAVY on foot... (Sooner!!!)

Paranoia's official remix to me is the diry mix..or clean; whatever one of the two. The official one of Max 300 is SMMM.

Paranoia's official remixes are EVERY Paranoia in the series. MAX 300's remix is MAXX UNLIMITED, which is what SMMM is based on, making it an Unlimited remix, a remix of a remix.

Well, I thought the first mix of PARANOiA would be the original to me. With Max 300, yes Unlimited is the first remix but then again SMMM actually has Max 300 and mix in the name.
