MAX.period Problem!

Hi, I recently got DDR EXTREME (JP) imported over to England and have loved it ever since, but I need help! The Legend of MAX was easy enough to unlock, but I'm having A LOT of trouble reading the end run on MAX.period. I've tried printing off the stepchart but that didn't work as I keep getting too many almosts, not to mention it's a pain. Does anybody have any tips?

Man, you know well enough that's it's all raw practice.

Also, don't read at the step zone. Look down a bit on the screen.

Oops sorry, I forgot to mention this is EXTRA STAGE criteria I know I could probably do it if the stupid norecover mod was off.. but it's driving me crazy!

EDIT: I got them switched around. MAX QUARTET unlocks from clearing MAX. (Period). Never mind.

Just play a bunch of songs. It'll eventually unlock on its own.

Only tip is to look for a pattern how it changes when it goes 600 bpm, I originally learned by going rdrdldldruru or however it went, my friends asked me to do it and I never managed to do it before unlocking everything else. Then I started a new file and managed to do it on like the 5th or 6th try via extra stage. Never touched the mix since.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it's a very stable beat throughout.

Easy: the song sounds like it's about to climax and a swarm of 1/4ths comes in for no reason.

look at the TOP (I suppose you are doing it as an extra, and its backwards, but I could be wrong, I have not played EXTREME for a long time...) Otherwise just keep practicing, you will get it eventualy..

You could always memorize the arrows. That's what I did for VerTex in ITG. I realize that the 600bpm section of MAX. (period) is quite a bit longer, but it's not as hard as it sounds to memorize things.
edit: Also, you can always practice it on Stepmania on a more comfortable speed mod.

Thanks, but I already have it unlocked as of yesterday, I just want to be able to pass the extra stage version of it But thanks anyway!

I do look at the top, but even then 900BPM is a bit too quick!

I tried this with the printed off stepchart, but I think I could actually do this, even if it is quite long. Thanks for the help guys!

I only know of one person who passed this with a FC and thats because he's always been the type of person known to do stuff like that. It took him 20 or less tries, he says its pattern is eay to figure out, but yeah, as that other guy said, playing all the songs will unlock it eventually.

practice on stepmania, or play a course that has it. If all else fails, keep playing the game...
