AAA a song with 12ths, on a system that makes 12ths 32nds? And you've not got anywhere near on another 9? I sink not...
SuperNOVA2 fixed triplets; at least, they're snapped to a higher denominational power of 2, making them imperceptibly exact now (24ths are another matter). It's one of the few features of SuperNOVA2 that actually made it into CS SuperNOVA1.5.

Hallelujah! But no song uses large amounts of 24ths anyway...

I've heard this from a few places but no one seems to have a real "source" for this. Anyone care to fill me in on where that info came from?

What, the fixing of triplets, or the higher power of 2 thing?
Triplets are fixed "because they are." I say that from personal experience. Play BALLAD FOR YOU on CS SuperNOVA2 and CS SuperNOVA JP, and the difference is incredible.
There's also a neat video of someone doing I'll Make Love To You Expert on SuperNOVA2, and they are stepping loudly in real triplets and getting Perfect/Marvelous.
The power of 2 thing is just my own conclusion, since 24ths are much less "fixed," which leads me to believe they just cranked the precision of the step placement without actually changing the engine to incorporate the true step placement.
