no good ddr

ok, seriously, the new ddr games are sucking more and more and more. the last good one i played was ddr extreme 2. it had some good songs but an absolutely horrid unlocking system. in my search for good ddr, i have failed and now given up after i played DDRX. what is your favorite ddr as now all i am playing is konamix and in the groove

Thats because its aimed for a U.S. audience. Of course the BEMANI fans want to play their songs, but that wont sell games here. In Japan it will because they expect games different then ours would be.

Have you bothered with the Xbox and Wii games?

I have the same problem with the games, but I don't don't buy any Xbox series and my Wii is Jp, but I don't like HP.

HP2 rocks, just as good as the PS2 games, if not better.

On the contrary: it was better than SuperNOVA 2 and the new one is better than X.

Music wise...not so much.

Also if you've not played SuperNOVA2 arcade version I suggest you should, if that doesn't convince you then just wait for DDR X Arcade to come out (January 09 as it stands.)

ya HP was not very good. HP2 looks like they tried to improve. Also the XBOX series was probably the best releases (not 360) for the U.S.

HP2 > Even 'meh'er licenses than HP1 had. However, itsKO section is actually a lot better than HP1's but it still has some pretty bad songs in there. Add in the factor that it still got stuck with 50 or so songs, and many of the stepcharts have no respect for foot placement.

X > Strange license choices, little BEMANI content, and a buggy interface. Its amazing stepcharts, screen filter, and gems (on the bounce, On the Break, Dream Machine, Waiting 4 u etc.) do make it playable though.

Uni 3 > I guess Konami decided that all the hardcore fans moved to the 360.

It's because the Xbox 360 versions are the easiest games for us to influence due to them being produced in America.
