Polovtsian Dances And Chorus

I have 3 questions about this song from DDR EX2.

Is it from a game? And, if so, which one?

And is there a long version of it?

Just went back and started playing EX2 again, and found I rather like that song, along with Seduction, Injection of Love, Silence, and a few other songs I'd probably rather not mention.

Those songs all need long/full versions (Well, I have the full version of Silence (Airscape Remix)).

1) It's from a game by Konami called Oz.
2) I'm pretty sure there isn't a long version of it.

Seduction's (non-vocal) full version is in the credits. Injection of Love's full version is on Akira Yamaoka's iFuturelist album.

Polovtsian Dances And Chorus' tune actually sounds the same as an old song my mum told me about called Stranger In Paradise. Whenever or not Polovtsian Dances And Chorus was adapted from or is a remix of this song I don't know.
Look the song up. It really does sound very much the same.

Actually, there is.

The original song is called simply "Polotsvian Dances" and is by Michiru Yamane (I think that's the name) of Castlevania fame (from what I recall). The full trance version by Naoto (last name here) is available on the Oz soundtrack. The song is not called "Polotsvian Dances and Chorus" outside of EX2/Str!ke, however.

You might as well mention the others. What are we going to do, go "eew icky"? Sheesh.

Anyway, an aside: IIDX RED's OST has Injection of Love with lyrics, but not in a long version format. So that's another variant to look for.

I couldn't remember the others off hand at the time. I wrote the topic right before I walked out the door to work, and just noted the ones I could think of.

The remixes of Play That Funky Music, I Will Survive, Genie In A Bottle and Crazy In Love were quite good. The originals of the last two were, in my opinion, rather crap, but these were done quite well.

I'll dig around for the previously mentioned songs.

PTFM wasn't remixed, I don't believe. I haven't booted up Ex2 in a while to check, but I seem to recall going "This is the original? Sweet."

All I know is that I too, am seeking a longer version of the Genie in a Bottle remix. My favorite license on the mix, that one.

Nope, Play the Funky Music was covered by the same person that did Crazy in Love. Sounds almost exactly like the original, though.

There is a long version of Polovtsian Dances And Chorus. I just found and downloaded it off Limewire. Want me to see if I can send it to you somehow?

Also I just downloaded Stranger In Paradise as well and both do share the same tune.

What does the woman in Polovtsian Dances And Chorus actually sing? Can anyone translate?

I thought PDaC was in English, I couldn't tell. I know that Polovtsian (As a word/musically influenced) is Russian, but I doubt the lyrics themselves are. I haven't had a shot to hear it on my comp yet.

I think I've heard of the game, but I don't know for sure. Was it a smaller release? Or was it even a good game? It looks pretty cool. Then again, any game can look good with good CG videos.

I don't know if there's anything you're looking for, but if there is, I'll see if I can find it. You know, like a trade or something. Like exchanging hookers for drugs.
