Progressive scan in DDR X (US) So I found out in a roundabout way that DDR X will run in progressive-scan if you hold the triangle and X buttons while the game is starting up.
This is kind of dumb, since most dance pads don't have a triangle button. So you have to plug in a DualShock while the game is starting up, and then unplug it and plug in a dance mat. (I guess if you were doing single-player, you could keep a DualShock in the P2 slot, but I always do versus mode with my 6-year-old, who occasionally beats me.)
Anyhow ... it wouldn't be so bad if the game would remember progressive mode when you save and default to this next time you start up.
Or ideally, there should be a menu option for 480p mode - like Rock Band has. Feature request for DDR XI (if such a thing is actually released)?
Progressive scan is nice if you have an HDTV, because it eliminates the lag and artifacts caused by the TV's deinterlacing engine. |
