So far every main DDR game out has a dancing girl on the front cover. With the exception of DDR MAX, all of these dancing girls are silhouettes. Funny thing is, the upcoming DDR X, has a real girl for a change.
The JPN counterparts usually have more elaborate covers compare to the US counterparts. Seems like every US game has the same format in place: DDR Logo, Dancing Girl on top of some Up Down Left Right Boxes.
Just something I noticed, anyone else agree?

Ultramix 1 and 2 also have that same girl.
I think DDR STR!KE is the only Japan game to use this style for the boxart.

I guess having a girl on the cover, will make guys wanna buy the game, cus who wouldn't want to buy game with a hot pixelated, interactive, silhouette girl on it?
Girls wanna to look like this cover girl, guys wanna be with the cover girl. So more sales.
Having someone like Rage on the cover, will probably not attract more of a broader audience I guess, though it might be cooler.
