Anyway. I got an Xbox 360 last Friday. And I want to get DDR Universe 1/2.
But, I will get it only if I can find some way to connect my super awesome PS2 DDR metal pad to my Xbox 360. Can I get some product that let me do that?

My dance pad doesn't work with the Trio Linker Plus (a device that let a PS2, GC and DC pad to connect to a PC). Does that mean it won't work with the adapter you suggested to me?
By the way, this pad works also with an Xbox. So, you can give me also a Xbox to Xbox 360 adapter.

Seriously, $80 to play Halo 3 as it was meant to be? Fucking stupid.

Thanks!

Total Tokens: 2,663.09 Donate Tokens | you are going to have a hard time finding PS2>360 stuff because microsoft does not let 3rd party developers make controllers. If they do (like guitar hero and rock band) microsoft licenses it for use. The only exception I think was the Hori turbo, and microsoft stopped production on that as well.

If you're willing to do a little soldering, you can do it with about 12 dollars of radio shack parts, and one xbox 360 garbage bag pad. It's pretty easy. I didn't know much about electronics and I was able to do it. I got my cobalt flux working with my 360. If you want to know how, I'll find a link to the how-to.

All the details are in there. A couple things.
1. Even though it says it is for xbox, the procedure is identical for xbox 360. just substitute either a konami original xbox 360 dance pad or the madcatz 360 one instead of the regular xbox one. I used the one that came with the Universe bundle.
2. This guide is specifically for the cobalt flux, but I see no reason it wouldn't work for any metal dance pad. You just have to use the pin layout for your pad instead of the CF's
I'll sum up the process: your dance pad has two components. One is the controller that communicates with your console, the other is the square panels which are no more than switches. You step on the up panel, and the up wire is connected to the ground wire completing a circuit and telling the controller that the up button has been pushed. Only an xbox 360 controller can be used with the xbox 360, so you have to start with an xbox 360 compatible dance pad and separate the controller (black oval shape at the top) from the pad itself. You'll replace the pad with any other which will be connected to the controller. So in essence you are still using the xbox 360 dance pad, but you've changed the 'buttons'. I hope this helps. Like I said, I've done this before, so if you have any questions, just ask.
