Default Question about Supernova US CS...

Is there ANY way to play online-only songs (i.e. NIJIIRO, HONEY PUNCH) outside of said mode?

If not, then, why else should(n't) I get this CS release?

other than LOVE IS DREAMINESS or My Only Shining Star, which is a bitch to unlock in Universe

(BTW, I'm ordering Extreme 2 very soon, because everyone says that it is a good mix)

Supernova 2 has both Nijiiro and Honey Punch , Supernova has Love is Dreaminess and I think either Supernova 1 or 2 has My Only Shining Star.

Just get the whole Extreme and Supernova series like I did and you would find most of the songs you want.

Yeah... the online exclusives of SN1 were made available for regular play on Supernova 2 US.

Extreme 2 is one of the greatest US Versions of DDR. Not to mention some of the songs appeared there appeared on SN with their Background Videos.

In SN1 CS, I believe it is now impossible to play the online only songs, because they have shut down the server. Anyways, here's some good/bad points about both that I made up:

SN1 US CS:
Good
-Great licenses with good steps (Battle Without Honor or Humanity and Shivers come to mind)
-Many of the great UM/Japanese Cs songs like DoLL and Love is Dreaminess
-All of the SN1 boss songs, as well as a good chunk of some of the better SN1 songs like True Love, Innocence of Silence, and Xepher.
-Pretty good CS-only songs.

BAD
-Some of the worst songs from SN1 AC (*cough* Centaur *cough*)
-Some really awful covers like Funkytown and Shout.
-A rather boring and tedious (IMO) unlock system.

SN2 US CS:
Good
-Brought many good SN2 AC songs like ANGELUS and FIRE.
-Features a lot of the JP SN CS songs like Baby's Tears (SKY GIRLS opening Theme), Feelings Won't Fade (Extended Trance Mix) and Silver Platform -I wanna get your heart-
-Has some good licenses like Faster Kill Pussycat and the Goldfrapp songs.
-Triplets fixed somewhat.

BAD:
-Although some good SN2 AC songs were ported, many of the REALLY good ones (Like Blind Justice, CaptivAte etc.) were left out, as were the planet songs.
-Many of the licenses (like LE FREAK and Got to be Real) make you wonder what they are doing in a dance game.
-Some of the more horrible songs from SN1 AC like Cachaca and Under The Sky (God, I hate this cut and chart so much)
-Almost zip in the realm of new CS KOs.

to your fist question, no, you can play them on SuperNOVA 2 though.

to your 2nd question, most recent releases were trash in the U.S. EXTREME 2 was pretty good though.

My first DDR game was Extreme 2, and I loved it.

I think you should honestly just buy Extreme 2 and Supernova 2. The only good on Supernova are a few songs like Love is Dreaminess, Xepher, and Matsuri J-Summer Mix and the chunk of boss songs. The only good I think is on Extreme is maybe the old system felt new to me. Also, some songs like Paranoia ~dirty mix~, A, and Trip Machine Survivor were on there. Finally, Extreme has some good Licenses. (IMO)

If you have SN2 you can port edit data for those 5 songs...however all of them will not play properly. The arrows will scroll at the same BPM as Peace. The stage will also end after the same number of measures as Peace is played through....which is quite a bit early on all of them.
