Default Questions? We have answers!

Well, I thought it would be nice if we just had one question thread to sticky that would account for all of our random questions about the various DDR games, machines, etc instead of just making a new one for each individual question whenever it randomly pops in our minds or another threads that is irrelevant to the topic.

Bare with me here...

_________

A few I have at the moments are:

Why does Innocence of Silence not show a BPM change on the selection screen, yet not even half way within the song it slows down?

Also, does konoko have a video on Supernova 2 AC? I know it isn't on Supernova CS (JP) or AC, while it is on the Supernova 2 CS (US), but does anyone know? (I played it yesterday at the arcade, but I wasn't paying attention. >_<)

Just wondering, but what are some songs like konoko that do not show a video in certain games, but they do in others?

I also wonder why Love at First Sight in Supernova didn't use the video? Was it because it was a mix rather than the real song like in DDRMAX2?

Lol I have a lot of Supernova questions. XD

They dropped a lot of videos from CS to AC (iFuturelist is another). There's plenty of songs without videos on DDR, reasons as to why might range from licensing, imagery (since arcade standards aren't held to the same console standards in either Japan and America), to probably just laziness by Konami to splice the videos (since DDR versions are sometimes cut shorter) or maybe just too distracting.

Some songs that have videos in their respective games that don't show up on DDR SN or later:

KBM:
Pink Rose (only clips of the original video were in Extreme)

GFdm (Pretty much all of them except Venus):
Mikeneko Rock
Chikara
Himawari
Break Down (granted, it came on DDR first)
Jet World
Konoko Nanatsu no Owaini
Gekkochou
The Least 100 sec.
Destiny Lovers
Balalaika Carried With The Wind
Daikenkai (from Pop 'n, but had a video for GFdm)
Centaur
Dragon Blade
I'm Going to Get You
Fire

IIDX:
Red Zone (maybe because of the Secret Live 2 clips?)
Under The Sky
DXY!
Leading Cyber
Paranoia Max ~dirty mix~ (another DDR original given a IIDX video)
Kiss Me All Night long (a DMX original)
Colors
Burning The Floor (another DDR original)
B4U (another DDR original)
Brilliant 2U (another DDR original)
Love Is Orange (not sure why they made a brand new video for DDR)
Tomorrow Perfume
No. 13
Moon
Paranoia Survivor Max (a DDR original)
iFuturelist
V

I'm probably missing more but whatever.

Not sure if this qualifies, but what does the "trackback" below the "reply to thread" page do?

KONAMI does this somewhat frequently; there's no rhyme or reason, they just do. un deux trois and Heaven is a '57 metallic gray are also guilty of this, and many others, I'm sure.

I remember that ABSOLUTE and Remember You also don't show ending BPM changes.

How do I enable the Double Mode for DDR Supernova Machine? Do I have to insert more coins and press start on the 2nd player button?

I just found a Supernova machine and couldn't get to the double mode.

I know how to do it on the 3rd mix though.

You need to insert more coins and watch it. Right when you are at the screen for choosing your mode, don't hastly select the first option, which is single mode. Press right or left on the buttons (not the pads, just the selection buttons) and you should be able to do doubles.

You actually have to insert two credits and push both the first and second player start buttons, then scroll right at the menu by one slot to go to Doubles mode.

If your machine has joint premium, you don't even need to insert a second credit. Just push 1P and 2P start as normal.

In fact if your machine has joint premium, you just have to press the right or left buttons on the machine to change from single to double. I you press start on the other player side, you will get versus mode

Yeah, SuperNOVA2 AC changed the way Select Style works for the first time since like 4th mix.

There's one SN2 near me that used to be on Joint Premium but most casuals/beginners ended up putting in 2 credits not realizing that they only used 1. Now its on Double Premium but that's just as awesome for me.

If you are cleaning a cobalt flux pad, and I'm seeing weird dust-like crap between the decals and the metal sheet, should I clean under the decals, too?

Okay, I cleaned it. Dang, 9 months got this pad dirty. No wonder it always gave me random almosts, goods, and misses when I played. Today, in fact, I lost 3 different AAAs because of it.

I have a few more questions about clening though....

- Should I take the decals off and white them off by themselves?
- Around how many months is it recommened to clean? (I took 9 because I was too scared to screw something up until now)
- Lastly, a lot of the crap wouldn't come off (under the decals and on top of the metal), so what is recommended to get it off?
