Ripping Videos from SN2

I'm using BeMedia, but can't find a file with videos.

i don't think bemedia rips videos from ddr games, only iidx

use mpgrape


i believe MDB_SN2.DAT has the bg videos. the intro i would guess is in SYSTEM.DAT but i'm not sure at all.

Actually, SN2 isa copy-and-paste job from SN1 and EX2.

And I got it to work, but it's loading reallyyy slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...

Curiosely, mpgrape worked for me with SN2US (I gave Takuya the intro video for his theme), but not with SN1...

It's the only known tool (for now) that rips stuff from SN2. You'll have to stick to it.

Be warned:
- mpgape may seem to stop responding while working. Just wait for it to finish ripping.
- the result (at least when I worked with SN2 US) is ONE BIG 1+ GB MPG file containing all the videos, played one after the other.
- To split the big video file you'll need a program that supports MPEG2, like the MPEG2 version of VirtualDub.

I could probably figure out how to rip them manually using a hex editor and share how to do it

but Wan's way would be much easier :P
