Marketplace Rating: 3 | Sakura's BPM? Why do Konami do this to me?! THEY CONFUSE ME! Here's why: - On Dancing Stage Max, Sakura was labelled 300BPM MAX.
- On Dancing Stage Unleashed 3, Sakura was labelled 319BPM MAX.
- I've heard that it's 320 from forums aswell.
- Stepmania (DDREX) says it's 300.
What is it really and why did Konami do this?!

So I say 300 ^^ | |

Would they have bpm hard-coded in SN and hard-coded a mistake or ?

Would they have bpm hard-coded in SN and hard-coded a mistake or ? | I couldn't tell you. The point is that the ending of Maxx Unlimited is 320 and when Sakura's ending is overlayed with Maxx Unlimited, they sync up perfectly, thus leading me to believe that it is also 320. I believe IIDX will tell you the same thing, as it was introduced in 8th Style, I believe, and IIDX points out every BPM change ever.

But play it and really pay attention. It's 300ish up to the slowdown, and then it works its way back up, and then hauls out to 320ish, then slows down to the end. IIDX would be great for tacking that down.
And as an aside, don't trust SM's BPM listings. You never know.

My bet is it's ~13bpm at the freeze in the middle... (In DDR obviously)

#DISPLAYBPM:12.000:300.000;
This will cause the BPM on the song select screen to stay within those boundaries. If you set it to *, it'll make the BPM display go haywire, as with The legend of MAX.

The haywire thing is for files they don't want you to know the BPMs of. ;o

The haywire thing is for files they don't want you to know the BPMs of. ;o | Don't be stupid. BPM display and actual BPM have nothing to do with each other. Sakura's BPM display says 300 but the actual BPM is 320. And I know what the haywire BPM display is for. I was simply using that as a comparison example.
Everything I've ever seen says that Sakura goes down to 23 BPM. MAX 300 from IIDX, on the other hand, does go to 12. I guess that makes it the slowest Bemani song, doesn't it.
Edit: Sakura goes to 13 BPM. I was wrong. However, MAX 300 still goes slower. :P

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Isn't the part in MAX 300 that goes down to 12bpm in IIDX the same part where the freeze is on DDR? If it is, could that possibly be a limitation in the IIDX system in not being able to stop completely? I can't think of any IIDX song that has a stop in it, but then again, I haven't been playing very long.
Of course, I've never played MAX 300 on IIDX, so I'm really just speculating here.
