I've noticed that the only thing restraining me from passing MAX 300 and up is my weight. So does anyone else have this sort of problem? Stories? Advice?

I'm pretty surprised at how much sodas people drink these days (I'm more of a tea guy myself, though I do have a root beer now and then. Although, I sweeten my tea to hell, so I'm sure it's slowly killing me). And just cutting out sodas can help cut your calorie intake by a considerable margin. This is assuming, of course, that you drink sodas every day. Also, don't drink energy drinks.
Cutting food is the hardest thing for me, because I just get so darn hungry. I used to have two packages of Ramen everyday for lunch, and now I have 1 cup of white rice. Of course, I guess you could just eat Celery or something, but what's the fun in that?

Since I moved, I've gone down to 220, and I can do a couple of 8's in a row before I'm too tired to really pass them anymore, ah which point if I'm at home, i'll just drop to 6's and keep on.
About a year of playing as well... Year and a half.

Total Tokens: 540,674.45 Donate Tokens | I'm trying to lose weight now and I've lost about 10lbs. I'm 192-190 and I can do about 50 songs in 3 hours the least. I just do 1000 calorie with 8 standard song courses with Sakura on challaenge at the end then once everything comes up I''ll do Sakura a few times on Heavy because it burns so many calories.
It's hard as hell for me to lose weight but I'm trying my hardest. I don't drink sodas normally but some days I'll have a can of gingle ale int he morning but I'll just burn that off with DDR later on.
This is what you should eat if you want to lose weight faster....
*Breakfast: something big since it is the most important meal of the day that gives you energy...so probably oatmeal and maybe eggs and grits with milk or orange juice.
*Lunch: keep to a bare minimum so probably maybe an apple, bannana, or other fruits and vegetables (I prefer grapes or celery/cucumbers with ranch). NEVER DRINK SODA AT LUNCH! Always have water.
*Dinner: Keep to light and maybe just one plate with 2 servings of veges and fruits and some starch and meat just for your non-dieting food.
*No desserts and DO NOT EAT AT NIGHT!!!!!
*Remember, if you don't want to eat, water makes up for almost any meal.
*Don't do DDR workouts right after you eat because it won't help.
*Do workout mode everyday at a certain time probably before dinner or an hour or 2 after and set it to a certain limit that you can do. (since you weigh 260lbs, maybe 300-400 calories? I do 1000 myself but it really wears me out and my feet hurt)
*Make sure to stretch your legs and arms before any exercise or beforey ou play heavy DDR.
That's pretty much all I can tell you. The rest is just self-control and luck.
P.S. Remember endurance....maybe try to start at 200 and every week go up by 100 until you just can't go farther)

Total Tokens: 504.67 Donate Tokens | Great tips on losing weight. I'll be using some of them for sure. The hardest one for me is not eating at night. I could easily consume one ddr session's worth of calories after 10 pm when I'm not even really hungry, just in the mood for junkfood.
I'm probably about 190 these days, but according to the bmi, with my height I need to get down to about 175 to not be overweight. Now that summer's here I'll be hitting the DDR hard.
As to the original post, and the reason I'm replying, I'm not sure that weight is the main factor in stamina. There are plenty of people heavier than I am that have more stamina and others lighter that have less stamina. It seems to be more about how long you've been playing, how often you play and your stance. My stamina was absolute crap for the longest time, then I read some tips on improving your ddr stamina, and found out I was doing all the wrong things. I was playing on the balls of my feet, stepping too high, stomping too hard, and hitting the pad too far from the center. I spent a week relearning ddr with a new flatfooted stance, and it immediately improved my stamina. The next week I passed rhythm and police for the first time (although I only got a C, and felt like I needed an oxygen tank afterward).
Judging by the songs the OP said he could pass, I'm sure he already knows these things, but I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else didn't.

It just takes time I guess.

As for MAX 300, I have the whole song memorized and IIDX makes its scroll seem slow. The issue is energy. I dont get out of breath my legs just stiffen up like beef jerky. Usually I dont use the bar, but only on songs I've never passed yet.

The BMI scale is accurate only for people that have a particular bone weight, muscle %, etc. I'm not underweight according to BMI but after a recent (unintentional) weight loss you can count the ribs on my body and my blood pressure has dropped so low that I need to take electrolytes or risk passing out. Am I happy with this because BMI tells me I'm a good girl? Uh, no.
All that said, I'm not trying to say that you guys are being irrational or something; ultimately it's a personal preference, you need to judge "healthy" based on where your body is most able and feels the best, and it sounds like most or all of you are thinking of that somewhat. Just don't get suckered into believing that your ideal weight is determined by a mathematical formula.
OK, now that I've blabbed...
I have "weight issues" due to illness, but surprisingly, neither overweight nor underweight (I've been both) seems to affect my DDR endurance until I get down below about 160 pounds. Being lighter does make it somewhat easier for me to recover from mistakes, though.
If you really want to improve your stamina for DDR do rowing (either join a rowing club or just join a gym that has one of the machines). It helps build cardio and leg strength, but is easier to get into than, say, running; it helped my DDR endurance tremendously when I did it.
