I'd like some tips on how to start a DDR club. I know that at least 5 guys at school who play DDR on heavy, including me.
I've heard that some clubs actually got sponsored by Red Octane, and they got DDR pads and stuff.
Should I make this a DDR club (with itg and piu), or should I make it Bemani in general.
Thanks. | |

GOOD LUCK.
Hint: get the P.E. coaches interested...maybe they will then put funds to buy equipment...

Anyway, I think it would be cool for BEMANI in general, so people get to know more about it, but more people know about PIU, and ITG. Either one works. Maybe you can could combine the two, and it would just be a rhythm game club.

And yes, I am 13.
How do clubs work? I don't really know :/

Ok, so good thing that everyone else is your age, otherwise in a typical high school, no one would listen to a 13 year old...
If it doesn't work you could always move to West Virginia.

In junior high we already had DDR in gym (and I made a DDR Club), but now if I were to start a DDR club, people would make comments on me (that are not good!). So I never tried, but hell if there are people that your age in high school, go ahead and try. Ask the gym teachers for help, they may also support your club in gym, well at least they did at my school.

Once or twice a week after school seems more than appropiate. You need to have people interested.
For example.
18 kids that enjoy football want a football club.
12 kids that enjoy DDR want a DDR club.
Chances are, the football club will get there's up and running faster, because there are more people and is probably easier to organize since it's such a well known thing. If you want your DDR club to go smoothly, talk to people. Figure out if it'd be worth the time and whatnot. There's a lot of technicalities behind this, so be ready for anything.

To make it a bit easier, why don't you just try and make a video game club and make sure DDR is one of the games there? There are more hardcore video game fans than hardcore DDR fans, so that'll help it get off the ground

Finding people is no problem cause I know at least 20 ddr players (but only like 4 i know can play heavy and one other guy than me who can do 10s) and a few beatmania guys. But the sponser is the hard part cause all the teachers have like 2 clubs already. Argh, usually the pe guys are sponsering other sports too.
