Surround Sound problems

I just recently bought a new pad and I'm trying to hook it up to my surround sound but cant get the steps to match the music.....I know the games have the ability to lag or speed up the steps but i cant seem to get it right.....Anyone have a solution to this problem or know the amount of time those increments mean?

Yeah. Try not hooking the pad up to the surround sound.

So what I'm getting is that you are somehow hooking your pad up to the speakers? Or is the Audio lagging? I know it's easy to fix on SM but I haven't seen an option for offset on my DDR games, or I'm just not looking hard enough. Are you playing on a HDTV? Because I know that those TVs lag IIDX enough to produce less than desireable scores.

heh sorry it has nothing to do with the pad....i hook my ps2 up to a head unit to surround sound and the steps are lagged in the game.

Do you have your PS2/Xbox hooked up to an HDTV? If so, this could most likely be your problem.

There are timing options in the Options mode of every DDR game to help compensate the time between the sound and the button/panel input. Check there and go from there on your own.
