Thoughts on Marvelous?

I just got Supernova CS and I find it a bit distracting, to be honest.

The Marvelous judgment doesn't remove anything from the game, nor does it really add anything. The main reason why I hate it is because there is practically no noticeable difference between getting a Marvelous and getting a Perfect, at least for me.
Wait, it distracted you? How did it manage to do that?

I like Marvelous in regular gameplay. It's really helped my timing, and it's nice not to have 300 tie scores on DDR score trackers.

Speaking of Supernova CS, I am annoyed at the fact that Konami decided to change the way modifiers are applied. It seems like a step back.

I actually like it. I can get my timing a little better now, however you have to play alot until you get used to it. i really hated it when i tested the game, but now that I have been playing with it, I am stuck on it.

it's not really distracting, if anything it doesn't really make a difference. although i'm more used to it being in courses since i usually play extreme.

At first, I hate Marvelous timing, but now, I'm getting more marvelouses than perfects and my timing skills has improved ever since(my perfects are only two digits) but unfortunately, I still get greats...

I like it. I get more FPC's than I used to because it's improved my timing so much. I doubt I'll ever get an FMC, but I'm ok with that. Also, AAA should only be given for an FPC.

I like Marvelous because when you get a few Perfects you know you're about to get a Great so you can adjust yourself. And I like SN2 Marvelouses more than Pre-SN2 Marvelouses that do nothing.

I liked it when it was just an option. It's when it was made a permanent fixture in Supernova 2 that it started to bother me.

I hear ya man. I don't rly see the point in having marvs outa course mode cuz it doesnt effect your score or grade (for the most part) in anyway. At least in course it changes the amount of points u get.

It does affect your score in Supernova 2, but only very, very slightly. But now it's impossible to get 1 million points in a song without getting a Marvelous on every single step.

Also, what ever happened to the Oni courses... They've gone all bad since SuperNOVA started. There's just no fun in them... Ah well, hopefully DDR X will have everything working as it should be.

The only problem with Marvelous is when the song is HORRIBLY out of beat, a la Hyper Eurobeat -- or whatever that song was in ... Max 2? One of Naoki's. Either way, Konami has to properly QC a song before releasing it with Marvelous...
