I bought a pair of cobalt fluxes (expensive D: ) and started practicing and I SUCK!!!!
I can barely clear level 4 songs on doubles play, but I'm doing 10s on single, so its pretty disheartening so I'll keep at it.

Crab-walks are important.

Learn to anticipate leaning slightly to get into the other pad. You're going to see 1D-1R-2L-2U frequently.

Be limber. In addition to that pattern, you'll also see 1D-1R-2L-2D. It's a bitch.

Jane Jana is good, but you have to work to that. Stay away from Trip machine climax standard, its hard for its rating. Genom screams is almost always one of the harder songs for its difficulty.
I only use the bar if Im playing a ten or increadibly tired. and thats only on doubles. I cant do things like max me mix oni doubles no bar. then again, I get better PA in ITG when I use the bar. So.........ITG or insanely hard songs plus bar may equal good, but stay away from it at first. you dont want to become dependent. Someday, it wont be there.

Most anything from 1st, 2nd, or Club is going to have a funky Doubles Standard/Another/Trick/Difficult/Whatever chart, simply because that was as high as the difficulty got on Doubles until 3rdMIX. That and they clearly didn't know what they were doing on doubles back then.
