I think song 37 is Tesla Coil. It was in one of the screen shots.

This list so far doesn't have licenses either. There isn't Less Than Three, 30 Lives, etc...

Wonder when the music player for X will be put up.

i actually think the IIDX version sounds much better; the gf/dm version sounds very incomplete and hollow

Just noticed an interesting coincidence...

"777" is labeled as thr7_select.

Maybe thr8_select is "888"?

Maybe I'll retry playing them. I should've mentioned that I also had old headphones...Point is, I'm glad CiB isn't going to lose any audio quality.

Anyone figured out if 777 is the Pop'n version or the GF/DM version? I can't tell from the preview. I think it might be the GF/DM version.

It's the GF/DM version. Compare around 0:10-0:21.

So are we going to split this up into seperate thread soon? One for X, one for Universe 3, one for HP2?

Is it just me, or does Universe 3 seem to be more of the Bemani fan's game, instead of X which seems to be geared more toward the casual crowd?

For now, yes it does. I'm still hoping for some surprises with X, but my hope is fading...

I wouldn't say X is geared towards the casual crowd. It actually has so far, a lot of in-house music, its just not by the normal BEMANI composers.

I think HP2 caters more to the casual crowd with D.A.N.C.E., Beat It, Umbrella, etc... Even the licenses in X are less known, most of them and seem to be more geared towards being fun sounding instead of mainstream.

For anyone thinking about getting both games too, they have $15 off $100 purchase coupons at Circuit City right now, good until 9/22. If you get both HP2 and DDRX bundles, its a pretty good deal.

Obviously HP2 wasn't included in the comment because that's the "party" game. You can't tell me that Concertino in Blue isn't pandering to the fans and only the fans, though. Anyone else would just not care. Not to mention DeltaMAX, Midnite Blaze SySF, Murmur Twins, Matsuri Japan, and PARANOiA Rebirth.

So by this logic, you are saying that all konami made songs are just for fans...

Actually given today's crowd it kinda does seem like that. I'm sure casual players wouldn't love HP or HP2 any less if it only had mainstream license songs.

Essentially, they are. What do you see new players play in arcades, say on a SuperNOVA machine?

Spoilers: Centerfold/any other song in yellow on the songlist. But mostly Centerfold.

On SuperNOVA2 it is MODERN GIRL or any of the first 5 songs in Beginner mode.
