After playing for a few hours, I found a challenge in SMM that is on Standard: Rage's last episode. You get to unlock Horatio, which is 2/4/9/15/16, and has a BPM of 165. Oni has air maxed out. I'm scared.
EDIT: OH MY FUCKING GOD. HORATIO ONI HAS SHOCK ARROWS ON EVERY QUARTER NOTE IN THE OPENING TRILLS. WE ARE SCREWED.

Akira is in Yuni's story, it shows a picture of him at the end, and he is directly referenced in the story 
Edit, also about the characters:
Yuni is in a maid's outfit
Alice, I really don't know how to describe her, but she's default!
Gus is like some sort of DJ
Jenny is in a racing uniform or something
Baby Lon is in a space outfit (LOL)
Queen Zukin... well... she looks really weird

The guy at Gamestop hesitated cause the system kept ringing up a preorder when he scanned the game. I flashed the "I'm in a hurry." scowl and he moved things along.
1. The announcer is extremely annoying. He says something every few seconds, and one of his little quips he sings mid-song, which threw me off of the song beat a few times. His end-of-round stuff is leaps and bounds more non-sensical than the crap the 3rd mix announcer used to spew.
2. The X-edits are awesome. I'm glad some of the old Dancemania stuff is back, and they combined various versions of the previous charts to come up with the new heavy chart.
3. The shock arrows are annoying. Does anyone else think they are a bit too sensitive? Even on controller, I kept hitting them AND the fade effect was more annoying than mines exploding.
4. The street beat ghetto mode is .... words can't describe. I played through Rage's story, #9 showed up but was not selectable, and I said screw it I'm playing regular mode (it seems now stuff unlocks through regular play, I will probably go this route than face that annoying anime story crap). | |

3. Tried the (forgot name) Extra Stage on challenge yet?
4. I'm only 56% done and I have over half of them done.......it gets annoying when you are trying to unlock all the songs.

There must be hidden episodes or something. I just got Episode 11 in BONNIES story.
It has Trigger - sonic coll on DIFFUCULT 12
BONNIES ending also has that character from Supernova, the PIXIE thing.

All I know is that I got 8 characters done with 60%.
