DDR Community

They have a new thread on difficulty there. I would recommend you put your two cents in, as it could have an impact on what kind of charts we see on these three games.
Here's what I said.

Quote:
Here's my "Brilliant" 2UC.

On Challenge Charts for All Songs...
No. This is stupid and it would prolong the release of the next Arcade release by an EXTREMEly substantial amount. Not all songs need to have ZOMG HARD Onis - Most DDR songs simply don't have the ability for being harder than they already are without needless runs, stupid gimmicks and God-awful overall steps.

Let's take for example...Oh say, TRIP MACHINE (the original). That song is perfect just the way it is - it doesn't need a harder chart. It doesn't sound like it's in need of a harder chart than what it already has, anything much harder would really put a damper on the song, in my opinion.

On Fewer Heavy 5, 6, 7s...
Also a bad idea. Alot of my favorite songs to play are in this range, because they're freaking fun, and fun to freestyle. You also have to think of the people coming up from Standard - They look for these songs. I know I did coming up from Standard myself.

On More Fun 10s...
Yes, I would really enjoy seeing some easier, but more fun 10-footers in the neXt DDR. When I want to play hard and technical, I'll play those songs, but sometimes I want to play fun, easier 10s too, and there's somewhat of a shortage of those to me.

On Fewer Stupid 10 Charts...
I would like if there were fewer stupid "ZOMG" charts as well, however I contest the "stupidity" of CHAOS. It's very fun once you learn it.

On ITG-esque Hands, Rolls, Mines...
No, No, Not paticularly.

ADDENDUM: On Higher-than-10 Difficulty Ratings...
I don't really think it's required for more ratings, just better clarification between easy and hard 8/9/10s.

That's all I can think of for now.

Also, this are beta screens and maybe they'll add the bar later.
Also another thing I noticed is that all of the Screens showing 2nd stage show a score of over 1 million...which makes it looks like your score conintues adding up through each stage you play...just like in the older games!

It is likely a Nonstop Course or something to that effect.

I'm sure it was a beta glitch but , when the video went from Taj He Spitz to Timehollow...the score was kept but not the combo.

Probably the player missed a note before TimeHollow started.

DanceDance Revolution: Hottest Party 2 (Wii)
Sequel to last year's hit, now with Mii support. Multiplayer modes that let you use the remote to shake up the other player's dance notes. Four decades of music including super-mainstream hits "Umbrella” and "We Got the Beat." We also heard them say MC Hammer and Pet Shop Boys were in there somewhere...

May 15, 2008
So they are encouraging fellow DDR players...(dumb butts shouldn't buy Hottest Party in the first place if its like the first one)... to basically push the other player off their pad in a figurative way? What is DDR coming to?

Hottest party was awesome. I hope its very similar. It looks like there is going to be non remixed liscences though, thats bad thing I have already noticed.

It looks like I may have had a voice after all. The first option was something I requested along the lines of what was in DDR Ultramix 3. Hopefully this is a little easier to navigate though.

And the second thing... I REALLY hope this encourages more Xbox Live play.

ALSO. Congrats on getting your Less Than Three video in DDR Universe 3 Gosha!

I wonder what the mission mode is gonna be like in DDR:X.

Hm....:

A-1. You just got a new car; you should take it to the car wash and get it "blinged up". Obtain a combo of at least 20.

B-3. That "shawty" out on the dance "flo'" is so fiiiine. You should go dance with her to Low by Flo-Rida. Impress her by obtaining a score of at least 600,000.

D-8. Conquer this gang's territory by conducting a dance off with the rival leader. Finish the song with at least 85% of life remaining.

E-5. Simply shank this mofo by sending knives (battle attacks) over to your opponent.

Oh my...this can't be good at all. I mean, the Hyper Stellar Missions was completely appropriate, but what if they pull this "shiet" off?

I'd buy it for that.

But no, I'll be too busy playing Universe 3.

Konami's got a new thread going about the unlock system

DDR Community

It's an interesting topic, I didn't think Konami would ask about the unlock system. Anyways, this could effect the three games being discussed, so put your two cents in.

I'd really be surprised if anything we say affects the games.
If any of the titles get delayed, we'll know exactly why.
Also, if the next question does not have to do with the song list (which our answers most likely won't affect as much), I will be surprised.

If you think about it, they've announced these games WAAAY earlier than usual.

Peeking back at SN2 US, it was announced on July 10th by Konami, and was released about 2 1/2 months later. DDR X was announced by Konami on May 15th, almost two months before SN2, and it is set to be released around the same time as SN2 (CD universe has it in mid-September) which gives them a nice 4 month wiggle room to take things from the fans. And that's on top of all the surveys and things they've done before the announcements.

If you look at the threads they have in the "Konami Asks" forum, they all relate in some way to CS games. So, let's hope they're taking the time to read some of the stuff and act on it.
