Turning BG Animation off or down in DDR AC?

I know you can do it in the CS versions of the game.... but I was wondering if there's some way to do it in the AC version (i doubt it) because the background images blends in with the arrows and frankly, it pisses me off.

I mean, if there isn't one, I don't see why it would be so hard not to include one in the options menu, it would just set back to default at the end of your game. I was at Cidar Point today and they have two SuperNOVA machines. Well I totally screwed up on a song because I was trying to pick out the arrows from the background which is sometimes quite hard to do... Yes, I have an eye problem... no, glasses don't help. I can normally do about a 6 footer and beginning 7 footers... but I had a hard time on like a 3 or 4 footer becaue of the BGA.... Shoot, if this keeps up, I will never be able to play on an arcade machine... only at home... where no one is....

No, it cannot be done. Also try using speed modifiers.

I'll try that plus turning the notes on... what's it called... where the arrows are cirtain colors on different beats? R2 or something?

I've found through experience that high speeds + note skin = impossible to read. If you're a fan of high speeds (like myself) then rainbow isn't a bad choice. But yeah it would be nice if you can just tur off bg's altogether.

I would use different Note skins to be safe, because you may be able to see better, thats what my friends you (SOLO). Also make sure there is not a glare on the monitor, or if the monitor is faded, since you are at a amusement park. I always find Monitors Faded at Six Flags, so it may also be the problem you may be having. It also may help if you play closer to night (Supposing that the arcade is outside).
