Using a PS2 controller for DDR Universe?

Okay, so I just bought DDR Universe about half an hour ago, but not the game and pad bundle, because I want to get a pad with a foam insert.

I noticed that the ports on the front of an X-Box 360 are USB, so I was wondering if there's any way to get my PS2 to USB converter to let me use a PS2 pad on the 360? Or do I have to go on eBay and buy another pad?

The adapter I have is a Super Dual Box Pro adapter for Windows. I had thought that, given X-Boxes are made by the same company that makes Windows, that I might be able to plug-and-play, but that's not the case. To get the adapter to work for Stepmania on my PC I have to format it from the Control Panel, so maybe there's a way to format it on the 360?

I figure it's worth seeing if there's a way to get this to work before I go and buy a new pad entirely.

you cant use a PS2 to USB converter.

There is a PS2 to 360, however, but I dont know what it is called, or where you can get it.

As far as I'm concerned, PSX to USB only works on PS3 so you're kinda out of luck. The real only other way to get it working is to rewire a foam insert pad with a new control board of a 360 controller.

Man, I was wondering the same thing. My mom finally let me order an EMS USB2, and I wanted to know if I could use my Redoctane Ignition 2.0 on Universe using it. I figured if it can work on the PS2/3, it could work on the 360, so I wouldn't have to use the crappy pad that comes with the bundle. And since the Ignition is also built for the XBOX, I assumed the wiring would be similar. Well I guess I'm wrong?

Yeah you are wrong.

I'm not %100 sure it won't work but like %99 because I don't have your kind of USB converter but I think all don't work.
