I don't know why 888 is supposedly so hard. It should be around 17-18ish.
Also, the only thing that seems really hard about NGO Oni are those damn airs.
P.S. What is the best rated pad video on DEGRES so far? XD I saw a B but that was pretty much it. That song deserves a 19-20 if it ever goes that far.

No, Saber Wing Headshot mix is a 17. I've full comboed it. Looking at 888 Oni, it looks to me like the worst parts of Paranoia Hades and Pluto Relinquish combined. Definitely no less than a high 18. I doubt I'd even pass it. | |

So it looks like none of the new X-Specials will break the 18 barrier as of yet (unless theres a Doubles X-Special chart that hasn't been played yet)
There may be no 19/20's in the end after all, but knowing Konami...

While we haven't seen any official 19 or 20 rated stepcharts yet, the ratings DO exist because in DDR X Edit Mode you can give your edit a rating, from 1-20.

If they meant for it to be a 1-18 scale, there should've only been 9 bars with red overlapping them for 10 and above. It only seems right that there should be an official 20 in the game.
DEGRS isn't hard enough to be a 19. Its really not that hard compared to some other songs like FELMO and PHO, it's just infamous for being dumb and not well constructed at all. 888 Oni might be able to pass as a low 19. | |

I have played 888 about 10 times and realised that the chaos of the streams will make it at least a high 17 or low 18. I can conclude, with the rest of the song, that it should be a medium to high 18 footer. (That song's strems are too queer)

The rating system is 1-20. It's not 1-10, 1-18, or 1-23498723. It's 1-20. Just because they are showing foresight in leaving room for songs to be harder without lumping them all together at a single number doesn't mean they won't ever make anything that hard.
