Marketplace Rating: 1 | What people do while playing DDR that pisses you off? Well, I was bored today and read DDRFreak's version of this topic and also searched for one in BS but the only one kind of like it was locked and 3 years old almost.
Well, revival-ish?
I found one that I laughed at because it is true and happens so much...
I hate it when people, dressed like they are "cool", play poorly on Daikenkai over-and-over again while making themselves look like idiots to impress their friends.........ON STANDARD OR LIGHT!
I remembered another one:
I was playing one day (think it was right after playing Uranus ONI or something) and these two girls were watching me play so I was like GROUPIES!!! After I finished my turn, one said:
"Wow, that is so awesome. It looks hard to play."
I just kind of smiled and replied:
"Not really if you play it for a while. It is really fun to play, for me, when you learn to play harder songs. Plus, it is always nice to have a challenge."
Her: "You did pretty well though compared to a few others I have seen here playing."
Me: "Thank you, I try."
Her friend: "He might be okay, but he still isn't as good as those guys I've seen on the internet."
........ WHAT THE F***?????????? (I found out by the next few lines that she was talking about Kevbo, etc)
That REALLY PISSES ME OFF! I can understand if you have seen better players, but don't shoot me down with people you've seen on the damn internet.
You know you wanna join the complaint topic. I SEE YOUR VIEWS!

Marketplace Rating: 8 | kiri: people get pretty stupid about those kevin comments; the best one i've heard was someone telling a guy that just quad-starred a song on ITG2 (back when ITG2 was new) that "kevin can do better"

I don't care what they do as long as they don't talk shit, hog the mahcine, or wreck it.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | I hate the kids. No matter where I go, I get nagged at least once by a kid. Didn't their parents like tell them not to talk to strangers, because if not, I wish they had, because they never shut up! Oh and when toddlers climb on the pads, thats terrible. And That one time I stepped on a kid, and the Mom said it was my fault for not looking behind me.
One of the biggest problems at big places like Gameworks is the people that try to ghost you. They are terribly off beat, and thats why I prefer not letting others play with me, unless its friends, or people that are good.
BZN is pretty bad for ghosting too. I told a group to stop, and they said to pay them a credit to play, and then they would (of course I said no). They stopped after a while because they knew I would not give them money... and then They later went to the ITG machine and ghosted the How to play, which is... strange. I saw the same group countless times when I went there, and every time it was almost the same thing. That is just aggravating. Thank god I never see those guys anymore, and I was not the only person complaining about the group either, Paul was too.
Oh and on a rare day most often at Brunzwick Zone you get drunk chicks, and they piss you off so much you leave.

I hate kids in general. They always attempt to break the games. I try to yell at 'em or death glare 'em away and it works half the time. I guess I'm scary to some people. :P

My god, I'm not trying to sound racist(....or am I?), but there's always little black kids (2-5) playing on the pad next to me when I'm afraid to hit them. I take a look.......NO PARENTS IN SIGHT! WTF? Also, when people think it is cute...I hate that too; except in the one rare case my nephew was attempting to play.
I haven't seen maybe one or two ghost/shadow-ers in my arcade. I guess not many attempt that in Adventure Landing...
All I know is that playing DDR at the mall is BAD! People ty to do so much shit to you; normally teenager pricks.
@ papersak
Thank god they haven't tried to break the machine, but I've seen new people come to play beginner and they stomp the pads. I'm like "WTF? STOP! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lol....Some kid tried to play beginner Trim and died before the speed-up......sad...
@ LNDN
WTF? I use the bar almost all the time. It is perfect if you don't want to waste stamina and the only con is that your arms will tend to get achy so you got to switch grip from backhanded to forehanded. I do say some songs are easy but that is because I'm used to playing them. Normally, songs I can play with the bars, I can do about just as well without; of course, with the exception of certain 9 footers and all 10s.....except bag (I'M LOOKING AT YOU HVAM)

Marketplace Rating: 0 | No. Kids playing DDR is not cute, period. DDR is srs business. :P Haa, but I forgive them if they're doing something other than bugging the person playing and/or slamming the pads. 'Tis impressive if they're good. ^^
Ah, it's usually not DDR they break. Mainly all the other lovely Bemani games. Dx But yanno, there are always those kids/people who slam every game in the arcade and think it's funny. :|
