My sister misunderstood DDR completely and laughed at everyone playing it and called them nerds. T_T

I got to pay he back this weekend because I got As on Heavy songs and she played and got Es on beginner songs. Noob, huh?

Back when I first got onto the internets, I was on GameFAQs (I WAS 12) and I actually thought the songs Tsugaru Standard, Dr. MAXX and MONGO MONGO existed.

and how do you pronounce "naoki" (I say it as na-o-ki), but maybe tytigeriku is right.

more or less it is pronounced NOW-key

I think that's any noobs or non-players misperception of good players. Hell, whenever I pull off my Sexy Planet ~Momo Remix~ freestyle, I have people coming up and asking me if I actually memorized the steps. What I tell them is that the steps aren't memorized, however the pattern becomes very familiar to them after practicing a certain song over a long period of time. That's what I had to tell my class when I assisted teaching DDR at KU.

Cheers!

I even had someone insist that they choose the song because they were sure I had a few memorized and were only doing those.

Id like to see a video on here with your freestyle on it.

I couldn't believe they were actually doing it at first...

Seconded

Also, I met a few first time players at the arcade yesterday and they chose standard because well you know.... they dont know how the difficulty works yet

If I didnt step up and told them that beginner exists, they wouldve wasted tons of half song games

I did that too. I first beat a round in beginner, then light, and finally standard. I was a fool and didn't know bag was so hard and went ahead and played it in standard.....

Of course I lost but still, being a noob is so regrettable

I did too. lol.

I also never understood it when the announcer said "Did You eat breakfast today?"

Oh another thing, I thought that the characters like Rage and Johnny were real people.
