Default Your DDR Machine Status?

Well, where are your DDR machines located near you? Do you tend to use them a lot? Are they even working? That is the question.

I have a few near me like a DDR EXtreme machine at the Orange Park mall here in Jacksonville. I went to go see a movie today and wanted to play. i went there and a maintenance guy was there. He let me have a free try to make sure the machine was working so I was like "AWESOME!" Free DDR is fun isn't it?

Well, I played a few songs and realised that it doesn't start out with all of them, but after every song a new one opens up. I played Daikenkai and A and got exicted becuase Paranoia Survivor 270 came up. Well, by the time I picked it and got pumped... THE MACHINE FROZE ON THE "Final Stage" SCREEN! I was like "OMG!!!".

I tried to talk to the girl at customer service but she seemed bitchy and didn't even listen to be albiet. Well, it turns out I unplugged the back and rebooted it back up cause I wanted to play some more. It worked but froze again at the "Second Stage" scree.

That DDR machine has been there since Extreme ones were imported to the U.S.

Well, how are your machines were you play at?

If he let you play a game to see if it was working, didnt he stay and watch to see if it was working? Also, as far as I know, Extreme is the only one that has a new song every stage. Its TMS, PS, and LOM for a AA on the third stage. You dont HAVE to play these songs however. Also, Ive never tried this, but someone told me if you play 2 paranoias then PSM is the third song. Thats just rumor as far as I am concerned. I havent played on a locked EX machine since I heard that.
Last time I played, the Gurnee machines pads were not very good, and Napperville's SN2 is awefull on the left side. Pauls arcade in Racine has the best pads of all three.

I'm guessing unlocked means that it comes with all the songs all the time?

I hate the locked one at the theatre though. -.-

Only reason I really played it was because I thought it would have more plus it had A. I love A Renassiance.

you are going to have to probably re-install the game.

it also may be your disc drive on your machine is crapping out as well, and it can be replaced.

BZN has a nice SuperNOVA 2 machine, it has e-amuse, but buying sensors for the machine is a problem there, so right now the up arrow is not working very well on P1's side.

Same with the right arrow on P1's side over here. Lol, I was playing Daikenkai and it froze out of nowhere only to leave an arrow lit up. After I stepped on the down arrow the song went back to normaly yet I got killed cause of all the misses I had during the time it was "frozen".

Thing is.....that machine needs to get fixed.

I hate that when that happens. First it starts blinking like when you are about to let go of it then it just...well.... so much for that 200 combo?

At the Century Theaters at Tanforan where I work, our SN2 machine is fairly good. Just, the only problems are low sound (it gets a bit hard to hear the machine with more people in the arcade) and the P2 sensors seems really bad, especially the left arrow.

if its a SuperNOVA/SuperNOVA 2 dedicab, that should not be a problem, you can turn the machine up very loud (The speakers will blow if you dont let the machine run on silent when its not in play however).

Even if you have a older machine, you can still add speakers to the machine as well, and its easy as plugging in 2 inputs into a TV. I have seen a machine that has done that before. I have also seen a TV next to a ITG2 machine that was huge and showed screen gameplay.

i think he means that the people that work in the arcade won't turn it up which is a frequent problem

He made it sound like he worked at the arcade, but re-reading it made me notice he could work in the arcade.

Ya that does seem to be a problem with alot of arcades. I am sure the arcade operators are sick of hearing the songs get played hundreds of times.

The BZ arcade tech only ever fixed the ITG machine. Either he hates DDR or the ITG machine is alot simpler. The good tech left.
