^ if they are just hitting the arrows for a beat (which is like stomping, but just to make noise for a beat), that does not necessarily damage censors as fast as over excessive play would (as in the machine is never left alone all day, like at large places like Gameworks).

other than 2 machines located on the other side of the city at Tee-Time, are machines are all in piss-poor condition. i've got an ITG2 machine not far from me in this sleezy little arcade in the mall with like 5 games, the ITG2 being the newest. I'm thinking about taking a day out to just repair the damn thing. there's no cameras, and i need something to play on. i'll look up the price for sensors and what not and probably act accordingly.

other than that, we've got an SN at a Brunswick Zone in a playable condition, a SN and ITG2 in HORRENDOUS condition because the staff is no longer there, apparently some chinese buffet has a brand new SN cabinet, and Tee-Time has an ITG2 Dedicab and a DDR Extreme machine both in perfect working order. oh, and i'm sure Six Flags still has their two janky machines. we've heard rumors of an SN2 that's been en route since February, but i think i'll make the trip to Naperville when I go to chicago next weekend.

i live in westland, MI...a place where restaurants are all the rage, so it was decided that arcades with ddr or any exercise games were TEH DEVIL and 2 ONLY arcades were torn down or replaced. so yeah, imagine theater and zap zone are the only things closest to an arcade around here. i haven't been to imagine theater in a while so i don't know the ddr status there...but i go to zap zone once a week and know all songs are unlocked and the pads are relatively fine...the 2p side's left arrow doesn't work very well though...

Their is one DDR Machine on a mall nearby my house...

It is DDR 2ndMix... but unfortunately, it sucks...(it really sucks!)

The sound might be loud but the game itself is sooooo outdated... and the pads feel like sinking... and sometimes, the game doesn't start up....

You mean when you press start, the game freezes? Or something else?

Anyway, heres a picture of a typical Saturday afternoon in my arcade. So easy to get a crowd going. (Guy was playing Healing Vision Standard Double). Sorry for the awful phone picture, I got bored waiting for my turn and decided to take a picture.

Lol, our arcade's DDR machine is backed into a corner and not many people watch. The arcade that used to be in our mall had one and since it was at the food court, there were a lot of crowds.

something else.... this happens during startup, it checks the machine status but sometimes, when it reads the CD, there is an error and we need to restart it again... repeat the startup process until the CD checking does not indicate an error... but during in the game, it works properly...

Pad are really sinking... and I had enough of playing it since 1999!

I have two machines in my area that I've played and they won't hold freezes well. In Smyrna there was on that was good but I have yet to play it. I found a SuperNOVA in Cincinnatti that was in a newly-opened water park that played well and held freezes ONLY on the 2P side. Looks like I'm going back to Cincinnati!

BTW this hasn't been added to ddrfreak yet. =|

In our country, there are three machines that are generally brand-new (meaning brand-new when purchased within the last 12 months or less). All have e-amuse card slots (but with no network connection atm )

All are in perfect condition and the screen is brillant when playing SN2.

While the second-hand cabs that run SN2 are generally shitty in my country.

In short, only the brand new cabs are worth playing IMHO.

I live in columbus indiana and we have an extreme machine and it's it bad shape...the monitor's tint is way off and the 2p side wobbles a bit and is sometimes unresponsive.

Figures though...cause the arcade it's in (the one inside Fairoaks Mall) is owned by the people who own the pizza shop across from it, and they don't really care for it that much.

We have a DDR Extreme inside the arcade at the Battlefield Mall here in Springfield and it sucks horribly. The pads are generally unresponsive (due to the machine being an old 3rd Mix cabinet that the sensors haven't been replaced on) and every time the machine is turned on in the morning, the GTC RAM is cleared out, meaning all the unlocks and high scores are wiped. That means the arcade operators (or myself) have to go in and put the unlock code back in EVERY SINGLE DAY.

We have an ITG2 at a movie theatre here and it works fine, except it's really quiet. Other than that the only other games we have are a Pump It Up Exceed 2 and a Pump It Up NX

The DDR's by me rang between 5-15 mins.

First up is Cyber Zone (now GameTown)

DDR SN2: It's farely good. Pads used to be like a ship deck, they are fixed now. But the up and right arrows on P2's side suck.

Pads on the Extreme (used to be a 5th mix) are good.

Next PeterPiper by my house

MegaMix (yes a bootleg): P1 pad is excelent, however there is a glare on the screen. P2's pad, sucks.

And now, GameWorks

DDR Ex: Poor. Both pads suck.

DDR SN2: P2's pad is slowly loosing supports and wobs a bit (ever since they took out the carpetting). The sound is low, but I know the arcade tendants, so turning it up is not a problem at all.
