Hi. I'm curious of how many there actually are here in town. Reason I'm asking, is because a friend of mine, Victor(VCKO) also a smash player and holds tourneys for that game, might start holding some iidx weekly tourneys. This is a good opportunity for all of us iidx'rs to progress a little better in the game, and get to meet some new faces here and there. Socializing and what have you. I don't know why I didn't jump on the gun a little sooner with this, but better late than never. You'll get to find a closer rival here in town, see how well you really do out there instead of just competing with yourself at home, which is fine, I've been playing that way too, but IMO it can only take you so far. It's a totally different game when you're playing with other people and get more involved, IMO. It's also sort of practice for playing at the arcade, since Vegas WILL be getting GOLD, it'll be practice for it's arrival too. Like, how there's some people out there that don't like playing in front of others. Well, if you start out by playing in front of friends or people you know, you'll slowly start getting used to it this way. This is a good thing. So those of you reading this, PLEASE MAKE IT. I don't know any details in FULL just yet, like, how are the tourneys gonna be held, brackets, difficulties, etc. That's all gonna be up to Victor in the end, and he's really good at organizing any kind of tournaments. We're just trying to see how many people would actually come to these events, because they can't be held for long, if not many people are going to be entering them. I'm just trying to spread the word for now and see where it goes. Lemme get your info so I can keep you all informed whenever something comes up.
They might be held on either a Monday or Wedsnesday. Let me know here which day would be better. Probably afternoon hours starting like....... 3-5pm ish.
So spread the word on different boards or where ever and lets see if we can make this happen. I get jealous when I hear other states holding tourneys on games of pretty much everything. ESPECIALLY ITG, they hold 3different tourneys everyweek it seems/ed like. Maybe we can get some out of towners to join in too eh???? q
