 DDR Extreme Tourney @ Peppermill Arcade Xtreme 6/6-7/8
Okay, here's the scoop. The Peppermill is holding a month long tournament series for several games, including DDR. The tournament is distributed between 8 qualifying rounds and one final round. This tournament is also divided into age groups: 11 and under, and 12 and over. The eight qualifying rounds take place as follows.
June 6 - 6 PM (completed)
June 13 - 3 PM
June 14 - 6 PM
June 20 - 3 PM
June 21 - 3 PM
June 27 - 6 PM
June 28 - 3 PM
July 3 - 6 PM
The top two players in each round and age group automatically qualify for the final competition on July 8 (at 3 PM, I believe). Registration begins 30 minutes before each round at the redemption counter. Each round is limited to 8 competitors per round per age group (16 total). You can compete in as many qualifiers as you want until you qualify, but new entrants get priority during registration.
The winner in each division of each round gets a play card with 1000 tickets. Second place gets a 500 ticket card. At the final, first place gets a 10,000 point card, second gets a 5000 point card, and third gets a 2000(?) point card.
I am unsure of the rules, but I believe it's pretty straightforward: best of 3, each player picks their mods, etc.
