Ok well am been around the Music game scene for a long time. I heard this time over and over again about getting pop'n too AZ. So i really hope that this double guys got he info right. Cause if he doesnt everybody should flame this guy. i remember the first time i heard az was getting popn. so i bought it a got really really good. its funny cause i bust out with it just for fun to see were i was at in my skill lvl and i can still beat hard shit but not with good score like i use too. anyways my point is I hope he info right but i cant beleive a word till i see it with my own eyes. if its right i'll be an arcade freak again for POP'N Music.

hey doubles guy a few questions for you... (if your sources are true )

is the IIDX machine going to have to official screen or a generic one (like MGL)

and the SF4 and T6 are they going to be to dedicated cabinets or are you going to stick them in American Stand-Up cabinets?

just thought i ask...

Short Answer: Tekken 6 may get placed in the existing Tekken 5 machines we have, I will ask a tech next time I work. I'm unsure about Street Fighter 4 and IIDX

Long Anser: Anything regarding cabinets I cannot answer accurately right now. I know we are getting some sit down cabinets a la the Japanese, but I'm not sure what games go with those cabinets. I know a common practice is to take an existing cabinet, change the marquee, change the controls and voila, new game! (for example, Street Fighter Third Strike is going in some old shooter cabinet). However I do not know which games will receive this treatment and which games will have their own dedicated cabinets.

I haven't seen the games first hand, I do know some games are already in a warehouse but they're staying there until next week, as there is absolutely no room in the arcade to store them right now. If you happen to go to the arcade sometime look in our Racing Zone, its full of random games, new and old, that we can't fit anywhere else.

Next week, once games start rolling in, I will provide a lot more answers about cabinets, and maybe even a few pics (on management approval).

I will definitely be working next Friday, I'm suppose to be the door host, but I'm trying to convince them to let me walk around near the rhythm games just to make sure everything is going alright with them. Thats gonna be a nice long 9 hours work day for me.

Once James gets his computer back, he won't be occupying my rhythm game controller stand, and I'll have you over for Pop'n.

Don't know, but I will ask a tech when I can. I have today and tomorrow off, so at the very latest an answer should come by Wednesday. Don't forget to go to the arcade between now and Thursday to get free coupons for time cards and credits!

Sorry guys for the delay, hectic day at the arcade.

1) I do not know what kind of joysticks we're using for the fighting games. I would ask the techs, but they're all busy with other tasks right now and can't be bothered at the moment. When it gets closer to the time we're moving the new games in I'll ask.

2) If you buy a Gameworks cards ($2) you can keep it and recharge it over and over again without having to buy a new one again. Think of it as a membership card. The bonus is that you can register it online at Gameworks.com and get an extra $10 worth of credits for free AND if you ever loose the card we can replace it and transfer any balances and tickets from the lost card onto a new one. So it pays to buy just one card and register it right away.

Registered ^^

And sorry we didn't get together to play Pop'n : / On top of my controller table being occupied, it'd been a busy week for me (between class, work, and campaign volunteering).

So some renovation roadblocks have occurred, and the Grand Opening has been delayed a day. The new Grand Opening is now Saturday at 11am.

The first shipment of games arrived late today as I was leaving, and the techs are getting them ready. I'll keep you guys updated after I get off work tomorrow.

Heh, unfortunately no. I'm going in early to try to speed things up with the Grand Opening today and hopefully more of the arcade games will show up today. Last night all the games that showed up were redemption games.
