edit - regardless of the version, it apparently provides free rod action :P

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I know I promised more pics, but I worked 2:30pm to 4:30am moving nearly every game in the arcade twice to three times. Taking pictures was the last thing I want to do tonight (or this morning technically).
I will see what I can do about volume on all the games, the rhythm games are placed all in the same area in front of the redemption counter. Keep in mind the position of the games was hella haphazard and last minute (there was no real plan for them, the techs kinda said this looks like a good spot *plunk*), I tried my best to get the game situated to where one wouldn't interfere with the other (the only games in which this may be a problem is DDR Supernova and Pump It Up. And possibly DrumMania and Extreme. We'll see.). Their positions is not permanent, and will probably be moved again within weeks.
Also, I know this may be an issue, I'm going to see if the overall music can be turned down in the area. We play XM radio stations over the speakers in the arcade and I'm not sure if it will interfere with the games.
I will be there at 5:15 in the afternoon to start working, I may show up early, depending on when I wake up. If you guys have any concerns try to find me, I'm the only black guy working, so it shouldn't be hard. Keep in mind any volume changes are easy, request to move games will take at least a week or so, as techs have a lot more things on their plate to do, and moving the games are last on their list.
We have IIDX 14th Mix; Street Fighter 4 and Tekken 6 are operational and upstairs in the Fighting Zone. Also there are a lot more fighting games up there that I've never seen before, so take a look.
One VERY IMPORTANT ITEM: The techs are working their asses off right now to meet the deadline of opening at 11am. They have to add card swipers to all the games and do some adjustments to them. In light of this some of the new games may not be operational at open, but will be up and running later on in the day. Please do not bug any employees or techs asking when the game will be up, they will be up when they get to them.
EDIT: So instead of going in at 5:15 I'm going in at 11:00am. Go go 4 hours of sleep!

Marketplace Rating: 5 | I went to Gameworks yesterday, and it was great, but unfortunately, I was irked at someone yelling "she can't even plaaay" while I was trying to fail out of the Enjoy mode to get back to the main menu.
This was my first time playing Arcade-style, and I can't help but think that it's sad when people take it way too seriously - can't we just play for fun?
I'm not pointing fingers at anyone here, but I would like to mention that it happened and I was not too pleased about it.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | A few known issues about the machines:
Pop N' and Rhythm Tengoku are at their loudest they can get, and its still hard to hear the games. We can't really move them to another place in the arcade, there's always going to be noise somewhere in the venue. The techs will have to figure out how to boost the sound, but that won't be for a few weeks.
IIDX was turned up really loud earlier in the day, but they tuned it down a bit. Its decent for now but I will see if it can be turned up just a bit more. Also I'll check to see if the overall XM radio in the section can be turned down a bit. When I left Guitar Freak wasn't operational (but Drum Mania was), but it may be good now.
If you haven't guessed already, the rhythm section is the loudest part of the arcade and we're still adjusting the volume on all the games. Trying to strike that balance between hearing the music while playing and not hearing the music while not playing is going to be hard.
And to you Uno-Kun, sorry to hear that happened to ya. Most people that hang out there are cool and all, but there are a few people that are just jerks.
