Looks like the same screen as the old one, but IIDX is working again. Keys are a little sticky, though.

Just curious, I know the chances of getting a Pop'n machine is slim to none, but would asking/writing/etc help in some way? I know people were asking in other threads for IIDX Gold, so I think with some effort at least they'll know people have some interest.

Not really, no. MGL has been fully aware that there are plenty of people wishing for a Pop'n cabinet for quite a few years now.

The issue is that the upper management of Golfland (the chain, not MGL specifically) wants to put more ticket machines at MGL. From what I've been told, IIDX Gold was accidentally sent to MGL, and wasn't intended to be there.

Ugh, that really sucks. It would be harder to convince people otherwise if the big dogs don't want to

i know but hell everybody keep trying IIDX, GF and dm and everything else instead of the ticket games

even i keeping tell him he needs to fix to joysticks in the fighting games

MGL is the only location in AZ that has IIDX, GF and dm

Castles and Coasters has only DDR (but has a good number of fighting games)

Gameworks of Tempe has DDR EX, Taiko no Tatsujin 9 and a Pump machine

Fiddlesticks of Scottsdale has nothing but '90's style games

nothing we can do really just be thankful we even have IIDX, GF ans a dm

And that's why every time I see a new person from Golfland upper management at MGL, I make sure to let them know how rare and special those machines are, and how glad I am that they decided to put them there ^^

Going to be in Mesa either late November or early December, and was curious as to how well kept the machines are if I get a chance to go to MGL.

they are kept in pretty good shape don't know if you play drummania and i don't know if they will replace it by the time you arrive in Mesa but the snare pad is wearing down to the metal part... other than that everything is a-okay

As of tonight, it seems that there was some mild vandalism done to the GF/DM setup. Nothing game-effecting, but the shoulder straps on the guitars were messed up (one can't be slung over your shoulder, and the other can't be adjusted), and something happened to the DM marquee, so it was replaced with the 10th mix one. They still run perfectly fine, and I mostly bring it up with the hopes that getting replacements for them will also include a new snare.

In other news, Russ has been getting increasingly frustrated with the higher-up's stubbornness in getting new Bemani.

The machines are fantastic. Very well kept.
But it's hard for giants like me to play the IIDX machine without looking like a freak.

Highly doubtful. Hell, they only got Gold due to an accident. I hope the Tempe Gameworks keeps their machines up-to-date, though.

I was at MGL to play gold for about half an hour yesterday. I didn't get a chance to test out that FM transmitter thing. Is it me or did they just change the TT backlight to yellow? I haven't been there in awhile but I remembered it being blue..
